Just be sure you use your index and thumb as a lever for the stick, and keep the other three fingers loose to allow the stick to bounce, this not only helps with rebound, playin fast, being able to roll, and lastly prevent carpel tunnel by not allowing the majority of the shock to enter your wrist.
Also you can tune drums to notes, they dont have to be recognizable notes! They just have to be a vibe, like floppy ass toms with "Down With The Sickness" those toms dont have notes, they are just... floppy toms, that sound awsome with the vibe of the drumkit
So i googled why cant i use a guitar amp with e drums and apparently If you use your e drums with e guitar amp it will damage the amp,so thats why you should use a drum amp. Hope that helps!
