Same story, so we should stay with men who arent working just because we should have men. That advice tell women in Kenya. Things have changed all we have to contribute. No space for such men here. Shiru I absolutely love wamuratha and her inspirational talk. There are however a few things I beg to differ. She’s doing a good job in standing up for the boy child but my belief is that behaviour is learned and it can be unlearned. Saying that it’s our culture for men to behave in ways that are demeaning towards women in my opinion is promoting unhealthy relationships. That is a cycle that can be broken if men are empowered towards being more loving and more supportive. If not broken then it will be passed from generation to generation. It’s time we taught our boys the value of the girl child from an early age. If other men from different cultures can learn this and adapt to it then so can the Mumbi boy learn.
@Sharon,I couldn't agree more. The boy child has to keep up with the times. If women are not sitting on men's back like wangu wa makeri,which was cultural,why can't men learn that times have changed.
