It would be near impossible for me not to be holding a second funeral pretty immediately… incredible self restraint on the part of his family and neighbors honestly. It’s always best to leave the justice to the professionals. We do want to know what happened so we can have closure, and even find bodies.
Jewish culture is very different to western culture, it's more of a face society, not an honour or virtue society, so truth is not important, honesty, integrity, etc. are western values. Being able to lie well, convincingly, and to your success and anothers detriment is a virtue in almost all eastern cultures.
I can't imagine what he was going through. Probably torn between getting tf away from his father and wanting to forget what he heard, vs needing to hear everything for closure and accepting the only way he'd get those answers is via listening to his father confess. Ugh. Poor man.
I admire his strength in the situation, but my heart breaks at the look on his face and those occasional gasps where he’s holding his tears in, a strong man
I think you're using the word legen a little wrong and out of context here bud 😂 he's more of a strong man with compusure than a legend. No less he held it together well and I feel terrible for him.
@scheezy 💯 % True! 🙏🏽 @PatrickKnowles-l8zb Hey, “Teach,” 🙄 Try correction on, a Grammar App!! While your at it,…. Maybe work on your Own list of “errors,” - grammatical,…and Especially human,… Probably a Long list !!! 🤷🏻♀️ Quit Trying to correct, other people, for what You say/think, was a grammatical “error!” Live your life, and let others live there’s!! Don’t you think we’ve All had Enough of People correcting other people!?! ✌🏽
we didn't get to hear the hours and hours of chit chat that took place every day in the cafes, the park, and through daily text conversations. This detective found the best way to approach him about it and it worked. Remember too that we only heard excerpts of the conversation in the cafe
@@thehangingparsiple5692 ehh I came down here thinking the same thing. The way she talked and asked questions just had COP written all over it. However, I do agree that seeing this is an elderly man, probably lowish IQ and clearly not a career "professional", it was a pretty good match up. That being said, anybody with more than 2 brain cells and a very VERY basic understanding of general LE tactics could spot that gumshoe a mile away.
i Agree, how often does a 'pretty' woman come up to a man and be so so interested in his life?? This guys been out of the game so long, he thinks 'picking up' woman is like it is in the movies. People just dont do this organically, Never speak to anyone about a murder u ook part in to anyone, they are always on the inside
Old people just talk to anyone cause there so lonely it was deff obviously how he didn't see it how this lady just came out of no where to just be his best friend
I feel SO bad for the son sitting there having to listen to this interrogation. This will forever be imprinted on his mind. If he is reading this, just know that u will never forget but u will stitch up those wounds with time although the scars will always be there. Wear that scar as a tribute to the person u love.
Imagine spending your entire adult life building a family with a man, loving him and thinking he loves you. Then, when you’re at death’s door and need comfort and support, he robs you of the opportunity to say goodbye to your loved ones. She probably died with a broken heart too.😢😭
Reminds me of my old neighbor lady who used to report to my grandma at church that I would stay up late and my lights would be on until 3 am on Saturdays
@@jslaughterofthesoul4939absolutely not true, I just got pulled over a few days ago but the nicest dude ever. The respect goes both ways. You give it, you get it.
@Yomain702 It is disgusting but probably not uncommon, sadly. It's like telling a therapist things about yourself you wouldn't tell your loved ones. It's easy to confess things to people whom you have no attachments to. Less guilt and pressure involved. I feel so bad for his wife and his children. She was already struggling so much and knew she wouldn't live much longer but had no idea her husband would be the reason why. Absolutely tragic. 😭😭
@@robbiewright9573 She's your wifes great grandmother and you refer to her as "poor old lady" 😂😂 Doesn't sound like you knew her very well. At least not well enough to comment so confidently about her.
@@dw3403 of course not but maybe it's true, a lot of old people get alzheimer and they get very angry towards others the guy also didn't seem like a killer as in that he felt the urge to kill, seems more like somebody who through circumstances killed maybe I'm wrong but he didn't kill anybody else he had bad lawyers
Can you imagine dedicating 54 years to someone and they kill you? And don't give a hoot about destroying your family? And devalue all those years together? 😢
Yeah I was thinking that when I saw the inside of her house. She created a home . Sure he didn't do that. Even the basement was well organized from what one can see.
I still don't understand why he did it?? So she wouldn't get his pension money if he died first??? It can't have been for him to get her life insurance if there was no death certificate
that's what i found to be so difficult to believe. He doesn't even look like the type that would snap, kind of mellow type and then decides to do away with his wife of all those years just like that. And a few more years natural causes probably would do the bidding anyway.
I like this older officer that talks with him the most. He’s very calm, matter of fact, doesn’t get too emotional, and I think makes this guy feel like an old pal.
The main investigating officer is amazing. His logic and interviewing skills are incredible and his patience too. He never gave up, and found a way to get that poor lady some form of justice.
Between the Lt. rank on his shoulder and hash marks on his sleeve says he's been doing this for at least 20yrs. He chose to conduct the interviews in the suspect's home verses at the station and his calm demeanor is also by choice. So you're correct his interview skills are top notch!
Not to mention like...I wouldn't want any loved ones body to just float down a river. I imagine it finding a dam and just getting tossed around and turned about at the bottom with litter and fish.
My dad just lost his wife of 65 years, my mom, in hospital. Its a week now and an hour does goes by that he does not cry, for a week already. So to see this guy so nonchalant about his wife's passing is kind of shocking...
Fran the older lady, love how she immediately said "don't get friendly with him" lol This was such an odd story. The woman was about to die anyway and you shorten her time with murder? Geez
Imagine spending the better part of your life with who you think is your soul mate, right into old age, all the while assuming your spouse loves you unconditionally. Then that same man you’ve lay next to for decades and decades, kills you cruelly discards of your body like you’re trash. Her entire life was one big lie 😔
I'm guessing he's a flea market vendor. I did it for about 6 years because my job allowed me to have lots of merchandise. My basement looked alot like this. Plus, seeing the ATARI on the table looking like it's being cleaned made me look that way.
Na. Being a scumbag POS murderer is what “messed him up”. These aren’t fictional tales for us to evaluate, they are TRUE crime stories with real victims. Victims who would not be dead at the hands of another human if not for the selfish and disgusting decision another human made to end their life. Do not become desensitized and do not ever think in terms of how one could have been “legally covered” for something like committing a f*cking murder. It’s not normal nor acceptable in a decent society. What’s next, taking wagers on whether a murderer gets convicted? Or “death pools” where we put odds on which of our older/more vulnerable loved ones will be viciously murdered next? Tighten up.
@@buriedbesideyou you obviously have no respect for the sanctity and loyalty of marriage. Till death do us part. That's what marriage used to mean to people.
You don't remember when she died because its been awhile?! My husband died 22yrs..22yrs ago, I still remember everything from his face that he made, sounds and even the coroner placing a black blanket on him. 😢😢
Blackstone recently acquired Ancestry, I'm not saying it's bad to be able to find your ancestors, of course, but be aware that your genetic information you send in can be sold to the next company even if the current one promises privacy.
"The Blackstone Group" an investment firm bought Ancestry in Dec. 2020 for $4.7 BILLION. For those of us not worried about criminal behavior being spotted should instead think of genetic info being used against you like it has been in the past through religious people. Also there's insurance uses and a lot of information that is valuable to others.
That "suicide note" was brutal. "I didn't hurt your mom... your dad." No LOVE DAD or anything. If he'd been successful, that letter would have left such a huge scar (and so so many questions).
To hear the undercover cop's audio of their meetings is absolutely disturbing. He's callous and evil inside. He uses the term "scenario " multiple times.
Ha....lies such as, "You can get $900 a month and we don't even have to get frisky". Missy would only get that pension when he died, so he then proceeds to elaborate on some pillow and plastic bag "scenarios".🤣
Thats scary that if they lived 54 years together and he never hurt her, that he could do this. After 54 years he goes from a loving husband, never harming her to murder?? That's scary
I think she was probably the care taker for fifty of those years and god forbid she falls ill and he had to step up and care for his wife and mother of his children, this is just simply disgusting and disgraceful, poor woman 💔🙏🏻
I bet he was abusive to her emotionally verbally for years Thats why she was into crafts to help her cope with his abuse and neglect. Very angering and sad. Poor kenny Im so sorry.
Hello, I just wanted to comment that you may hear the lady's voice at minute 13:03 when the officer is talking to Mr. Phil... you hear a whisper saying... I don't know... repeated a few times at that exact minute.... and at minute 13:07 the whisper is heard again... and at minute 13:48 you hear the whisper again saying... nothing...
I’m going to politely disagree with people who think the undercover cop wasn’t good at her job. I have done a lot of volunteer work with older folk & all they want is someone to talk to. She spent 2 MONTHS being a part of the breakfast / lunch get together. Many walks alone with him where she probably vented about her “sick mother”, she essentially LOVE-BOMBED him but without the tactile part. You can still make someone feel like they’re being heard & you value them above other people because you have life stories that provide sympathy. She was able to be open & tell her “truth” because he understood her. Which made him feel like he had power, control over his life again, that he was able to fool people. He was finally FREE & that meant he could strike up a friendship with a woman & not be frowned upon by anyone. He was able to have his whole day to go about HIS business & not trapped my the confines of his elderly & infirm wife. It is crazy in so many ways as (by the sounds of it) she wasn’t long for this world, but to him every day was just another one he had to ENDURE. He wanted his life back while he was still active & mobile enough to have some fun. They did say the officer is now retired, so showing her face doesn’t matter ad I assume she would also had to testify in court, that would have been a HUE BLOW TO HIS EGO!! Anyway, that’s just my perspective from my psych training & personal opinion. I could speak on it a lot longer & explain my conclusions, but the joy of social media means I don’t have to! It doesn’t matter to me if someone disagrees as they’re very welcome to! The sad thing really is that her family never go to have a proper send off or a place to visit to remember her. Hopefully as it’s been a while they are coming to terms with that. Kenny was an absolute trooper, I truly hope his family & friends rallied around & are support him in this heinous crime between his parents 🕊️
Agreed. She was also meeting him at his level. I think people don't understand that her mission was successfully completed which means she did a good job. How her performance came off to someone watching on RU-vid is irrelevant.
It said at the start she was dying so maybe it was about making it quick? Not that that answers your question as I don't think there could be an answer to that.
That Sheriff was an excellent speaker/negotiator. Also, WOW he's got a bunch of hash marks on that sleeve. Looks like a 40 year veteran. Hat's off, sir.
Life is so so fragile. Minutes can wipe away memories, family, achievements and accomplishments, and a lifetime of life. This is extremely sad that people like this would trade that for a few more days of coffee or tv or just whatever self-center people do.
I remember watching this before. He put on a good show for his son and then he went on to brag about what he did right before he got caught. He’s a psychopath.
we didn't get to hear the hours and hours of chit chat that took place every day in the cafes, the park, and through daily text conversations. This detective found the best way to approach him about it and it worked. Ironic really that it WAS totally like a cop interrogation. Or should I say, scenario? Remember too that we only heard excerpts from the conversation in the cafe
There is something bone chilling about hearing that cop say "when we did the luminol process on your truck, your floor looked like a constellation...it was so bright"
@@krireshin, he said he put her in the back of the truck and then washed the truck out! He probably had he wrapped up way better than he was admitting to. They didn't mention if the dog alerted inside the vehicle!!
@@Peyote1312you’re tripping. maybe there’s some shit around but they were elderly and probably had limited mobility and energy to clean all the time. and he’s a lazy fuck who didn’t do anything after she died
All I could think was “gee lady you sound just like the interrogators, not a woman wanting to know a good plan for offing her own mother.” I half expected him to end the conversation by saying “I’m done talking to you,” like he did the officers.

My step father was so cruel to my Mum when she had back cancer. The reason why he was so unkind was as he had a head injury from a car accident.the doctor explained to my Mum he could turn at anytime. She was far brighter than him despite her suffering.
The last conversation they had really gave her away. She sounded more like a detective than a “Friend” to him. The pulling and prying and how she responded and asked questions.
In their defense, he probably was on the edge of shutting down anyway at that point and if they told him no, we won't bring in Kenny, he might have shut down then and there. To borrow a line from my parents while growing up, "A difference that makes no difference isn't really a difference."
Because he won’t have gotten much prison time, which wouldn’t have been Justice for his wife…he murdered his wife first, which is much worse and a much longer prison sentence and they were trying to get Justice for his wife of 54 years.
My old neighbor (ex cop) did something to his wife also. He had her cremated before they could even get back home from the "vacation" they were on. She "had a heart attack in her sleep". But the things that occured immediately afterwards, let me know what happened
32:08 Big slip up there, he admitted to washing the truck, he was then asked about cleaning his side of the truck and you can hear his response “I didn’t clean MY SIDE of the truck.” Think about it; why would he? He didn’t make a mess on that side he was in a rush and decided he only needed to partially clean his truck, the area of concern, or scene of the crime.
Brah, you couldn't tell that was an undercover cop? Seriously? And you thought she was into you? Did Phil have dementia? Now the dude has to rot in that cell every night feeling like a dumbass.
