My husband told me that he loved me on our first date. I was scared 😱 😨 😳, so I didn't know how to respond. My parents fell in love the first time they met and my dad ask mom to marry him, then and there. This was in the 40's, and my dad had just returned after WWII. He was in the Navy. They had their 72nd wedding anniversary 2 weeks before dad died. Mom followed him one week later. They raised 5 children. He always introduced her as "his bride". He adored her!

Since writing and posting this story, I'm adding our actual ages. I must have been closer to 63 and not 62. Anyway I am now 64, my husband is 60, my daughter is 43 and my stepdaughter's are now 26, 28, 32 and 35. And are soon to be celebrating our 25th Anniversary. I actually met my husband, when I was 8 months pregnant! I was on the train in San Francisco back in 1981. The father of my unborn and I had already parted ways and he was stationed in Germany. To make a long story short, after having my daughter ( Kevin' man I met on train) his grandma by coincidence became my child care provider. By then my daughter was 3 and I had never seen Kevin again, only random phone calls checking on me and my baby. One day, while I was picking up my daughter from child care at Miss Saunders house, and all of a sudden, I caught a glimpse of someone coming through her front door. Then I asked Miss Saunders, who is that, I think someone is in your house and she said, " oh that's probably my grandson" and I said I didn't know you had a grandson that lived here and she said "yes his name is Kevin" and I said Kevin? she instantly gave me the last name of the same Kevin that I met on the BART train almost 3 years prior, so her and I begin to talk and I said Ms Sanders that's the guy that I've been telling you about, but to be honest I could not remember his last name, until you said it. She said "oh my goodness, you must be the person that he's been telling me about for almost 3 years and saying that he met this really pretty pregnant and nice lady on the train and I'm going to marry her one day" Over the year's we had formed an amazing friendship and he became the father of 4 daughters, by two different women. Although neither of his relationships worked, he and I were always friends. So fast forward to 1999 he and I eloped when my daughter was 19. He and I have been married for 23 years and he always tells me how much he loves me and how much he needed me through life.. I was 39 and he was 35 the day we eloped, now I'm 62 and he's 58.... My daughter is 41 and my Stepdaughters are, 24 26, 30 and 33...what an awesome life, when stranger's cross paths

My man told me during our first conversation that he could see himself with me long term. A week into our courtship, he told me that he loved me. Three weeks into it, he began discussing marriage...told me that he wanted to make me his wife. We're only a month into dating, and he includes me in his future plans. He's attentive, supportive in every way and he is a protector and provider. He always checks in on me, is gentle in his communication yet firm, and he feeds into me spiritually, it's way more than just sex. I've been very apprehensive about this but this video confirmed what my intuition has been screaming to me..he is the one! There's so much more I could share but there's no point...he is the one. He is so patient with me and I can truly say that I love this man. His actions and words align...I thank God for him entering my life.

I met my love online. I found out he is 14 yrs my junior. I am dumbfounded but he told me I said and did things he had never heard from any woman or had done for him before. He said that was how he fell in love with me. I have to admit I had been listening to Stephen Speaks and used what I learned to see what would happen. It didn’t take long, 3 days to be exact. I totally agree with this! I've had some draining abusive relationships in the past. Everything is different with my husband of 5 years ,Chris. He lifts me up, reassures me ,supports my goals and career, and protects me from harm whenever possible. I also support and love him in the same way. Ladies don't settle for less than the best ! (FYI we say " I love you" many times a day. We show love all day too. Those words have deep meaning to us .)

Also, if a man or woman consistently says "love you" or "love ya" instead of adding that "I"....it makes a difference. I completely understand that mindset he talks about. Semantics matter in that instance. By adding the "I"...it takes ownership of the emotion and embodies it completely. I've had my boyfriend tell me both and if he never used the "I"...I'd be a bit wary, but what really makes my knees buckle is when he says I love you and adds my name at the end. He's not only owning it in that instance, but directing that focus on me even more. That gives it that extra dose of heart-melty goodness. I'm grateful that I have that again in my life after having it with my partner (and step-father to my 6 children) of 14 years who died suddenly 2 years ago to an extremely insidious and aggressive form of liver cancer. I've been blessed to have that sort of love again in my life. 💘

O Wow! "I'm on the way" ... My boyfriend said this to me last week. I stayed at his house the night before as I do often. He works 3rd shift therefore going to the gym after work some mornings is his routine. This particular week we had contractors working on the house therefore he didn't go for 4 days because he knew I was uncomfortable with strange men in the house without him (something I mentioned in conversation when we first met). As Friday came along he went to the gym thinking they were done however they came by at 7am. I called my boyfriend immediately and his response was "I'm on the way" . I felt calm instantly and assured. I apologize the next day for interrupting his workout the day before. He told me he knew I felt uncomfortable with strange men in the house. I fell in love with him all over again. I just want to thank you for sharing this with me because I do wonder at times if he really loves me.

His body language has deepened with me. He’s introducing me to his friends and I him to my friends. He never wants me to return home. I’m emotionally vulnerable with him. My guy is always showing me he wants to be my hero. He amazes me and volunteers for all kinds of ways he can help me and do for me, whether it's fixing my car, trimming my trees, buying me a surprise necklace, and tells me every day he loves me. I am absolutely blown away at his efforts. He does all this with absolute joy and enthusiasm. I have to pinch myself, I am so lucky and so over the moon in love with him.

You are right on. I was seeing a guy for several months. He kept saying "I miss you" and "I love you". But we lived a 2 hour distance up in mountains. He had issues with his car & finances. I broke my leg early October. He was supposed to come see me weeks ago. I waited for him all day and never showed up? Finally 6:45 pm, I sent him a message? He lied, he never attempted to drive up. He blew me off and lied to me. There were many issues between us. Age diff, distance, culture, language, his car,excuses, etc. He turned out to be a player type, BS'er. I told him off big time in series of messages. Blocked 🚫 him and let him go. I hate BS'ers. Liars. Insincerity. Actions do speak louder than words. I will seek someone who is mature, stable and more in common with me.

He said he has no problem saying it because this is what he truly feels and he believes that there's no point in hiding his emotions. Our first date was at a coffee shop and while talking he clearly said that he's found the one and he is not going anywhere. I'm glad that my man is doing everything that was mentioned here and it made me more secure that I've found the one for me.

Wow this is crazy I remember I caught a flat tire driving in the highway and my car was slowing down and my car just stopped. I didn’t know what to do and I was in a panic because I was in a busy Nyc highway driving to Brooklyn 😭😭😩😩 my boyfriend was the first person I called to get me and help me. I woke him out his sleep and everything lol. Needless to say, he came and rescued me. Changed my tire, he kept my car that night cuz I was scared to drive back home with a donut 🤣. He dropped me off later on that night in his car and took my car to the shop the next day and bought a brand new tire 😭 He loves me he really loves me 🥺🥺 never thought I would’ve found love again. I am going through this and I am so confused by it all. I am feeling frozen, unable to breathe, I can't think when I am with him or anywhere near him. I have been crying for over a year, I have accused him of having extramarital relationships. He doesn't show concern for my feelings at all, he makes promises but doesn't keep them, I have been working on our home that's in my name and my mother's. We have been married 6 years and together 7 but had dated back in 2008-9 and I didn't know it but he had a girlfriend the entire time. I am worried because he changed so drastically in the way he treats me, everything is totally different and the only thing I changed is relapse. He says if I stop things will change back but he changed overa few years I was in denial but we were fighting for a lonh time it only got worse. It's be less fighting lately. He seems more understanding of my fears my trauma walls and my feelings but I am so afraid that he is faking. Putting up a front. I am a hot mess ladies nd gentlemen..... He is speaking the truth. I had an experience with a man who was a wonderful illusionist. His actions could make you feel as if you were the only woman in the world, but his words were a different story. I noticed it first in the way he introduced me. I made all sorts of excuses for him because his actions told a different story, but eventually he told me we couldn't continue our relationship because he wanted to do things with other women that I wouldn't like. It was heartbreaking and devastating because I should have known better and cut it off much sooner and, in the process, had gotten very attached.

It’s so crazy I came across this video cause my partner and I just had this conversation. It’s like I needed to hear this. Everything on this list, he does but I was still questioning him. A few years in our relationship, he was introducing me as “the Mrs” and that really caught me off guard. I’m guilty for saying I’m good and not talk and I do realize he has stopped asking but when I do eventually bring it to his attention, he’s ALWAYS ears. I don’t know if I’m just shallow or what, but some where in my mind I feel like there’s a better option for me. That sounds how it sounds but I’m being completely honest with myself and with him about the whole thing. I couldn’t possibly be with him and risk hurting him like that and not be sure of how I feel. I understand the complexity of your feelings, sis. Sometimes we feel that love shouldn't be complex. I recently ended a 3-month relationship with a wonderful man simply because, in my gut, something told me it wasn't the right thing even though we believed we were in love. It made no sense to anyone but I had to go with my spirit. We still talk often and he finally told me that he realizes he has a lot of work to do before being ready for me. I never said that to him; rather, he realized it for himself. Love only works when we are honest. I want to be absolutely sure about my relationship. Thankfully, we each know we can still be the best of friends. If love blossoms again (on my end), so be it. If not, neither of us has lost.

I’m glad that you added that last part; you need to be in love with them. I married twice to men that I was not in love with. A counselor once said, “if you go through the motions, the emotions will follow”, but they didn’t because they were not of a caliber to keep my respect. Now a widow, I’ll only marry again if I find myself deeply in love with him. I got a wonderful son out of the marriage whom I pretty much raised like a single parent, so I don’t feel like it was a total waste, but it aged me and I suffered three unexplainable heart attacks. Now I claim back the years that the locust has eaten (Joel 2:25) and plan to live my best life now. These videos have been very helpful to see what I need to correct and also to see what I am already doing great if I dare to date again. Thank you for this!

Marriage is on its last thread now, we are basically roommates. I went on vacation and met this man and the connection is soooooooo strong. I mean we think about each other all the time, we talk everyday and he shows me I’m worthy of the best treatment. We are friends because our marriages parallel but we are just drawn to each other. I came across this video and I agree with every single point you've made. In my own experience, I'm very in tune with my emotions and my feelings even though it's uncomfortable at times but even I myself have experienced expressing how I feel towards a woman, but the woman assumes and because she's not receiving what she feels or thinks she needs at that point, gets frustrated. Yet when time to conversate and I want to hear her voice, want to know what's going on wanted to know what is it that I may have done or what I may have missed or what we can do to improve those conversations never happened. and so they get mad and they get upset. But at the end of the day actions may speak louder than words but if you do not communicate your wants, needs and desires those actions will never ever take place. I've even been in situations where I'm willing to be vulnerable I'm willing to be expressive I'm willing to be more receptive and more giving but the other person like you mentioned I'm good it's okay I'm all right no big deal and then they wonder why things change but again never taken that step to sit down talk figure out what's going on and decide if this is for us or not. I am happy for the amazing stories. My husband turns to social media and posts as a single man.😢only God is keeping me here. I can’t express myself to him because he say I’m insecure so I keep it in . I must release my feelings,my thoughts.Our vows are critical to God so I’m asking him to guide . I met someone who you’d term as a player just over a year ago. He often let me down. Difference is now we’ve openly discussed it and he’s changed big time. He’s admitted that he’s lonely without me and I’m lonely without him. We have an incredible bond and he wants me to live with him. He admitted everything and that no woman had ever made him feel the way I do. He does say I love you. He now calls me his partner wants to meet my kids etc He shares his family life with me too which he never used to. He uses the word we frequently now. It took me a long time to forgive him but we’re now looking out for each other and have taken the walls down. We realised that we can’t live without each other and it’s beautiful

When a man deeply loves you - it’s only natural for him to say: “I’m on my way.” Actually, that’s how you would expect him to react or behave. This is really good. My best guy friend, we got very close beginning at Easter, in June he said he loved me (like family), but he has continued to show signs that he likes me. And he's been very straightforward about not being ready at the beginning of our friendship for a pursuit. He's said he is in my life forever. I think he's a keeper. 😉 he has definitely gone out of his way to show me chivalry. He's challenged my faith at times or asked questions, but also considers me a spiritual mentor. We have both encouraged each other. And he trusts me deeply!! He keeps in touch usually no more than 3 days without talking. I get more concerned if he doesn't. He's always been deep with me. And I always feel safe with him emotionally and physically. We can talk about deep things and even marriage comfortably. He's even teased us to a coworker saying me and my best friend were his two girlfriends. But he hasn't talked to her nearly the way he talks to me.

I've been seeing a lovely man who's been hurt in previous relationships & being single for 10 yrs & never married... He's a genuine man he has a daughter who he's not biological father & has been in her life since she was 7mths. He is a family man.. He's very caring, checking in with me & especially if I'm having a bad day & very respectful with my children. He has introduced me to his daughter & grandchildren, We have fun, so much fun, laughter & comfortable to be ourselves. He hasn't said those 3 words cos has been hurt & said it's complicated... However we do enjoy being together, nothing is complicated or awkward🙏🏽 I know his love, as I see it with family & caring persona towards his friends.
