Man the first one hits so close to home. When the cops started talking to one another about the different sides of the story and going "He doesn't have any injuries on his face, and she actually has nails missing" I started to recognize a panic start to arise within me, because throughout my upbringing, I watched my parents getting into arguments and my mom punching my dad in the face several times. Even before I was born, when my older sister was just a baby in a car seat in the back of the vehicle, my mom was punching my dad over and over again in the head, because he brought up the fact he knew she had cheated several times. Him saying that pissed her off enough to punch him in the head while driving. This shit lasted for years, cops would show up at our house, because my mom would scream bloody murder as if someone was whipping her with barbed wire when nobody was near her, and people half way across the block could hear and called in. Of all the years of evidence I have, photos where my dad's face is red from her punching him and he's got cauliflower ear cuz of it or photos of marks in myself from her even, videos of her screaming when nobody is near her, no cop has EVER looked at those videos. I've tried to show them the videos, I've asked them to look at it to prove that she was putting on a fucking act for them and making my dad out to be the bad guy, but they wouldn't because "oh, we're here to do a wellness check on your mom. We can't look at that", but then finding out my mom has the ability to call the cops the day after christmas and get them to kick down the bathroom door, pin him up against the metal towel rack in the wall with enough force to break it, put him in zip ties and haul him away in nothing but his fucking boxers, when all he was doing, was singing and cleaning the mirror. Bs went on for 20 years, and dad finally left to better his mental health, which has made him a better parent. I'm proud of him for making that tough call. So, seeing the fact that these officers in the first video did arrest the woman, brought so much relief. There are an unbelievable amount of women who get away with abusing their boyfriends, just because they're women and female abusers aren't commonly spoken about. Often times, the women put on an act and make a sob story saying "oh he did all this to me" when in reality, that's exactly what she is doing to him. There needs to be more justice for men.

The neighbour from the last incident is a real one, he was visibly shaking but he still stood his ground to make sure the kids would be OK, that's a good man right there.

Saying “I want my phone or I’m calling the police” to police officers is so unhinged I love it.

And abusive. It is never okay, and if your partner is lashing out and threatening you, pls call the cops. PLEASE. (If safe to do so) especially when they are inebriated. It may actually lead to mental and psychiatric assessment and intervention much sooner, and it’s likely they do have something such as mental illness or neurodivergence that needs to be acknowledged, treated and managed asap. You’ll be doing everyone a favour.

Honestly, thank you so much for shedding light on the fact that men can be the victims in toxic relationships. All a man has to do is raise a hand to stop a woman from hitting them or even grab a womans wrist in defense, and they will cry that they themselves are the victims. It's why I never take a womans words right off the start. Anyone can be a victim.

I was almost arrested several times after being abused by my ex. She’d start something and hit me and tackle me so I’d fall on top of her so she could have injuries to report to the cops when they got there. The cops would immediately cuff me every time but luckily she was always belligerent and I had defensive marks on me so she always went down. It took a long two years to get her away from me and she vandalized my stuff before she got out. Trying to get some sort of reaction out of me saying she’s pregnant with my child even though I’m sterile. I’m glad it’s over, but I feel bad for these guys. What a nightmare!

I have to give these police officers credit for being so patient. They have to have that to put up with all these idiots.

Its fascinating watching these women realize they aren't getting their way and it totally blows their mind. They literally can't believe that all the crying, the lying, the blaming, the flirting and the tantrums that have always gotten them out of trouble aren't working this time and it completely shatters their world.

When i was 15-16 years old, my father took me aside and told me that physical violence was never the solution. Neither if i was hit by my partner, nor if i hit my partner, that would solve the problem. "If you are too angry, tell your partner and go somewhere else, but you have no right to hit anyone." I was never an aggressive girl, but looking back, i understand my father. Why should only boys be taught that girls should not be hit if no one should be hit?!

As a nurse, never thought about the other workers that have to deal with this manipulative behavior too. We have to deal with those people every day and it is hard. But, we aren't allowed to bind them. We have to just let them abuse us because they are mentally ill.

During my last pregnancy for some reason I had a lot of anger, rage, and irritability. But not once did I assault anyone or break anybody's things. There is 0 excuse to put your hands on anyone. Especially your partner

The first arrest of DV involving the pregnant woman pisses me off. It was pretty clear that she was the perp and he was the victim, yet neither officer wanted to make that call. I think the female officer wanted to, but she's a rookie and doubting her own judgment. Everyone wants to talk about biases. They'll call it out even when it doesn't exist, but their reaction was genuine bias creeping in. They didn't like the idea of arresting a pregnant female. They almost couldn't compute a big man was the actual victim of DV. If you switched the roles, he would have been in handcuffs as soon as the female officer watched the video and found out he'd lied about what happened to the 2nd officer. That's all it would have taken. There would have been no need to call the Sargent. In fact, I don't even think that those 2 officers would have needed to deliberate like they did. It would have been easy to come to the conclusion to arrest him. This is how horrible a situation like this is if the victim is a man. He had a video of part of the altercation to verify his side of the story. She was directly caught lying bc her story doesn't align with the video evidence. Plus, there's an entire witness who overheard him asking her to stop hitting him. Even with all of that evidence, those officers were still incredibly reluctant to arrest the obvious perp. Imagine what it's like for men who don't have any corroborating evidence in these cases.

This happened to a friend of mine. He was dating this girl and she completely flipped a switch on him and just started beatin on his ass. Another friend of ours had to forcefully pull her off of him and he held her down on the bed until the cops showed up. He didn't press charges, they just wanted her out of the house.

The way she started laughing when she was getting arrested showed me that she is a bit psycho in the head!

I love the one who thinks as long as you assault someone in your home you can just tell the cops they can’t come in lol.

So as it turns out with the first lady: the purse actually belonged to HIM since he paid for it, and she was unwilling to turn over his property when he demanded that she hand it back? So not only did she commit domestic battery, she committed petty theft as well. The police didn't do a very good job investigating this aspect though - in fact, they even ask her if she wants to take the purse to jail with her - which she had just admitted that it wasn't legally hers. And other dude seemed like he was taking her side at first: even allowing her to use his phone so she could call someone else which is definitely against protocol during an investigation.

The second lady definitely has narcissistic personality. That man is definitely a victim of a narcissist . She reminds me so much of one of my mother's abusive exes. They legitimately believe that the entire world has wronged them and that everything you do is a dig at them and they could never do anything wrong. There's no reasoning with that type of crazy. You always think the right words will make them understand but they just twist it again till you snap and then they act calm and record their "evidence" of how crazy you are. I'm sure that's what she was gonna show the cops.

Brother, I was in the same kind of relationship. She used to say that she was gonna go to the cops and tell them that I was threatening her with a gun because who will they believe, the white man who is 6 foot 2 or the shorter black woman with Crocodile tears. She was insane! Of course, I had 3 different gun licences, but I've never been able to be violent toward anyone, no matter how violent that person was, I was too scared to hurt someone.
