No matter who comes along and makes a claim as a superior athlete, Crosby will ALWAYS be number 1 for me. As a kid who grew up not even half an hour from where he did, I feel like my life has always partially been me looking up to him. Not even necessarily as an athlete. Just as an example of someone who is upright, hard working, and resilient. No better role model.
Crosby won't age until he literally can't skate or keep up. His relies on hockey IQ, knowing where to be and how to develop or shut down plays. That's something he won't lose
Yeah but also look at his legs, he's got those St Louis hamstrings, I don't work out legs, just imagine having legs like Sid and at Louis, its almost comical how large there thighs are, it's why he can still compete the way he does, the guy has been in phenomenal shape his whole life

Ovi is 2 years older than Crosby and has been amazing at his age too.... Ovechkin at age 36 (21-22 season) had a 50 goal, 40 assist season for 90 pts... Crosby at age 36 (23-24 season) was 42 goal 52 assists for 94 pts... they're both aging wonderfully, so the fact this guy barely mentioned Ovi is imo ridiculous.
@@aralornwolf3140 that's not cherry picking years.... That's comparing Crosby @36yo to Ovechkin @ 36yo... Ovi still had a 31 goal last season after an awful start, at the age of 38.
