One would think that the fact that Vader can choke people to death without laying a finger on them was more than enough reason not to mess with him... Barokki should've been glad he survived the first time.
@@GodOfPlague I can't even understand what are you trying to say, so i'll just leave it here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OsuHpgc_SBg.html
The Irony of the imperial Military unhappy with Vaders rise to power above them is he had done more to make the empire happen then any of them with order 66 and eliminating the separatist council.
@@obi-wankenobi5411 oh Obi wan you troll you. Don't embellish that achievement. You still left Anakin with one arm. Had you truly perfected the high ground vaders career would have been short lived and overcooked.
Playing Skyrim, when Astrid told me to kill the guilty one of the three suspects she had tied inside the shack, I made sure to kill the four of them. Problem solved. Thanks Vader!
@@SeaguIISoup Clearly everyone knows he's the best pilot, so they purposely give him defective ships to try to bring his flying skills down to everyone else's level.
Better idea, if you don't want vader to kill you, just be somewhere else, and be a nobody, the random guys in the background have a higher chance of survival, especially if they're in the background lightyears away
Thing is, where Vader is concerned, there's no such thing as a "pretty decent" assassination. It's either executed flawlessly, or it becomes your death warrant.
I hope you see this but can you please please PLEASE do a what if video where what if Palpatine never revealed his identity to Anakin. And what if Mace Windu never went to make sure Palpatine stepped down from power. How would he justify enacting clone protocol 66. The reason it worked in canon was because the Jedi attacked the Chancellor but what was his plan if that never happened? Thanks, Love the channel and i posted this on my birthday.
My head cannon is that the war between the CIS and the Republic was a war of attrition, meant to weaken the Jedi Order until an opportunity to enact Order 66.
@@hippiehippo9030 The republican officers world neve grave executrd it without some proof of the Jedi's treason. My guess is that Palpatine had several schemes planned to make the Jedi look like traitors to the Republic, exploiting the confusion brought by the war... just like his original scheme (kind of) failed in Attack Of The Clones, but he already had it covered and obtained a personal win
Wow 62 dislikes....they must be rebels, traitors, or rebel sympathizers!!! I can hear the emperor now as he instructed Vader to carry out the executions “ Do it”.
Short question! The Empire was founded when vader was born. It wasn't a long time between his "birth" and the birth of the empire. So why. Why are there Imperial Officers who don't know the man, who was there before even the galactic empire?
5:04 if you pause right here, you can see the hand of an imperial officer missing two fingers, the same missing two fingers of the hooded individual at 3:35
The only way they could have come close to assassinating Vader or Palpatine would have been if they had been willing to sacrifice their own lives at the same time.
To assassinate Vader from my knowledge of star wars (mostly from legends) they need to perform a ritual to cut the force from a specific location (but requires multiple jedi/sith) and E.M.P. field but for normal people to kill Vader they need suicide attacks (although they failed multiple times) noting less cuz fear will expose them
it makes no sense imo.. it's just like the military in real life.. sometimes you'll have a staff sergeant whom you never met appear one day, start barking orders at you and you carry them out no questions asked because they out rank you. and similarly how a general can pop up out of the blue and start barking orders to their subordinates and those subordinates follow without question even if they never met or worked with the general before.. So it makes no sense that a military unit here in Star Wars will question or object to someone who's clearly working directly with the Emperor, that they'd object to or question any orders he gave, regardless if they never met them before.. especially in the Star Wars universe, because unlike a country where a general or staff Sargent or whatever could have simply transfered from a different military base in a different state or whatever, in the Star Wars universe, they could have literally came from anywhere across the galaxy, so obviously these imperials would have just assume Vader must have came from a different place in the galaxy, so they'd not question his authority/rank.
This is true in the military of a civil society, in a corrupt society how you got your gig might be sketchy. Hell fragging happens in professional militaries in warzones when the system breaks down a bit. In more corrupt politico-military cultures, and especially at the higher levels of society, everyone knows everyone and knows the politics and history of everyone else, so some new random dude is a problem. Now, General Skywalker could have continued to exist as a pardoned Jedi, but that did not fit the narrative the Emperor wanted. The thing that I think is odd is that nobody cottoned to the idea that the fucker who could choke you a distance might have been a turncoat Jedi, and hence not-fuckable-with. Then again they had just killed a lot of them so I guess the idea was: f*&k that guy, we killed the rest of them, try enough times and we'll get the sob.
@@openthinker6562 Exactly. It wasn't until this very moment, when Palpatine officially stated that Vader was second only to Palpatine that he was given a sort of rank. Before this moment, Vader was simply a guy that showed up simultaneously with a message from Palpatine that essentially said "This is Lord Vader, do as he says" with no real explanation as to why they should outside of being told to do so by Palpatine. So naturally, people got jealous because they're all playing the game of military ranks, and Vader exists above all of them without any real justification.
What I don’t like about the canon/legends stories, is that Palpatine immediately started treating Anakin like bantha poodoo basically from the moment Revenge of the Sith ends. It just makes Anakin look really weak, even though he was still strong. I understand that Palpatines kindness was all manipulation but the fact that Anakin just accepts being a whipping boy for 20+ years right from the beginning doesn’t feel like an accurate portrayal especially since he’s supposed to be more pissed off and full of rage from that point on. He was still able to kill Jedi and a thousands of people over the years, I really don’t believe Sidious was so strong and had such a hold on him from the beginning that he didn’t/couldn’t do anything about it
Jp O Vader really didn’t have a choice .. he was too strong in the force to run Papaltine would just find him .. plus he relies on the technology of the emperor to stay alive .. he really just got set up in a bad situation. Because he’s not strong enough to take sidious and he can’t leave either so he’s just stuck. I’ve had your some thoughts and I just came to the conclusion that even if he wants to kill him he just can’t until he felt like sacrificing himself at the end for his son
A few reasons: 1.) Initially Anakin was in denial because he couldn't admit he had made all the wrong choices. He lotally served Palpatine because he thought if he didn't then it would be admitting that he was wrong. 2.) By the time Vader accepted that he had simply been manipulated completely, Vader still realized that he was no match for Palpatine, so he had to bide his time and get stronger before fighting him. 3.) Despair: Vader wasn't ready to let go of his rage and hatred so even if he got rid of Palpatine he wouldn't have any true goals. He would simply perpetuate the Empire in place of Palpatine, so he had little incentive to get rid of him. This third point didn't change until he found out about Luke. At that point, he decided he wanted to eliminate Palpatine so that he could keep Luke safe from him.
Yea I see the points you both are making and honestly I’ve come to similar conclusions before too. I think I’ve just been a fan for so long that I’ve over thought it so many times. My best friend and I always had those “what if” conversations watching the movies and smoking weed. I never thought about it until now, but the amount of weed we smoked just while watching the movies is ridiculous. You could cover Jabba’s cargo, pay Hans bounty, and still have some left to go cloud city with Lando haha
Seems fair to me, they did try to kill Vader after all. Though if they succeeded im not sure what the outcome would have been. Not sure if palpatine would be too upset. Possibly reasoning if such a pathetic assassination could kill Vader then he wasn’t a worthy apprentice. Also unsure of what would become of the officers, wether he would punish them or be impressed that somehow they were able to kill Vader. Or be impressed but worried and thus kill them.
I can't blame Barroki for trying. If you think finger pointing, backstabbing and performance reviews are bad in corporate offices then Imagine having to worry about your next slip up costing you more than your job.
Please, could you stop a little the images? It is unconfortable to pause the video every moment I want to read. English is not my mother tongue but I love how you do this videos. It would be great if the pages could pass slowly or in another format easier to read. Maybe there are more people thinking like me... Thanks a lot!
If you fail to assassinate Vader leave the entire star system change your appearance get a new job charge your name and if that fails you will be meeting your ancestors
