Terrible wind and broken equipment made thus particular setup challenging. Follow me on IG:@balloonsandbusiness. www.balloonsandbusiness.com Backdrop:Allenjoy 96x72inch Polyester... www.amazon.com...
My heart broke just watching it fall down it happens to the best of us. But you made it work and it turned out beautiful!!!! Great work!!! The pipe and drape is sturdy I have one myself.
Girl I am so sorry this happened to you! Everybody experiences troubles with outdoor events. I have a heavy duty pipe and drape kit and it tipped over a couple weeks ago. Nothing is invincible to the wind but when I put weights around the bases it was good. Your setup turned out beautiful anyway!!!
Thank you so much 💓. I used that stand for a ton of events so at least I got good use out of it. I was just surprised that the bracket came clean of the base! It was welded metal to metal lol. But you never know what to expect with outdoor events 🤷♀️
I wouldn't discourage you from using it outside. I've used them for several outdoor events and they work fine. It could have been wear or tear because i used it ALOT lol. However, If it's really windy or storming, I would not use it because of the mechanics of the base. I wouldn't trust it.
For outdoor set ups, invest in an Aeropole system. The magic word in this business is “pivot”… when something goes wrong, don’t let the customer see you sweat… just make it, anyway possible! Good job, young lady!😊
With an outside event ALWAYS require the set yo to be under a tent, gazebo or any outside structure that can support the set up! Put it in your contract as a non negotiable. Freestanding setups outside just aren’t worth the hassle. You could have saved yourself a ton of frustration by having this one requirement! Nice work though, I’m glad it all came together nicely
@cupcakequeen6294 Thanks for your feedback. This was from 2 years ago, hun. I posted this as a teachable moment. I already have stipulations regarding outdoor events in my contract, and they've been there for some time now.
Hi, wow, I love your transparency. What about colder weather? Would you set up a balloon backdrop in 35-50 degrees or suggest the client chooses an indoor location? Could balloons shrink in these temps? Thanks so much
Hello. I live in So Cal so I don't deal with that issue. However, from what I read, balloons do indeed shrink in colder weather, so I would suggest over inflating the balloons or suggesting to do the arrangement indoors.
❤this is beautiful as a new event owner I am great full to see the "behind the scenes especially as I purchase my start up items did you ever get the frappe and pole was it better 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you 😊. Yes, I got a pipe and drape stand. It has its advantages and disadvantages. I still use my black efavormart stands as well. I have two of them.
I appreciate this tutorial. You definitely pushed through and did a fantastic job. Question: It appears you changed the position of the garland from how you initially hung it on the left but the end of the tutorial shows the garland on the right. Did I miss something?
@user-tn2sg4jl7w hello. When I first started making videos, I forgot to flip the camera position when editing my videos, so it appears the garland changed positions, but it didn't
I feel your pain. I made one yesterday with those kit ones and the wind just took it off. Those kit ones are so sucky. Where do you get yours made? I ended up giving up on that one. Luckily for a stage one I made I just used those plastic stringing things and knotted it. That one stayed perfectly so now I’m just going to use that from now on. Worked more easily than even stringing.
where did you get the table cover? i hate when you put table covers and they are flying up bubboling up even when you tape and tie them, nice job under pressure.
