Hello Christina, we always follow your videos with great interest and think you're doing a great job. We're from Germany and will be going on the MS Zuiderdam in a week and traveling from Amsterdam to Greenland and back. It's a 21-day tour. My wife is very sporty and would like to ask what the sports offering is like on board Holland America Line. Are there sports courses in the morning and afternoon? Do you have to pay for them or are they free? What does Holland America Line actually offer? Can you give us a brief overview of this? We would be delighted to hear from you shortly. There’s been a slew articles lately with people who elect guaranteed cabins getting bumped from the cruise, even after arriving the day of. If the cruise line doesn’t give you a cabin assignment within a week of your cruise, CALL THEM! Especially, if you’re flying into the port. Booking guarantee cabins, is like booking standby on a plane. You can pay in full, but not get a seat if the flight is booked and no one gives up their seat. No one gives up their cruise. Also, the vast majority of complaints I read and hear about are from cruisers who book guarantee cabins. I can tell because of what they complain about, things like noise, being too far or too close to the elevators, being too far from the amenities they like-these are dead giveaways that these cruisers booked guaranteed cabins. Otherwise, they would have known how close they were to amenities and the elevators when they looked at the deck plans as they selected their cabins. They might save a couple hundred dollars, but is it really worth the uncertainty and being placed in an undesirable cabin?
