Garrett Erin Reisman (/ˈriːsmən/; born February 10, 1968) is an American engineer and former NASA astronaut. He was a backup crew member for Expedition 15 and joined Expedition 16 aboard the International Space Station for a short time before becoming a member of Expedition 17. He returned to Earth on June 14, 2008 on board STS-124 on Space Shuttle Discovery. He was a member of the STS-132 mission that traveled to the International Space Station aboard Space Shuttle Atlantis from May 14 to 26, 2010. He is a consultant at SpaceX and a Professor of Astronautics Practice at the University of Southern California's Viterbi School of Engineering.

If a person tripping believes they’re seeing the earth from space. They could create the same effect without actually going. Pretty cool from a scientific standpoint.

I took DMT a few times and within a 5 minute time period I traveled threw space like I was God and I went past our galaxy and countless others and as I was coming up to a huge yellow/blue glow I snapped out of it. Almost everytime I do DMT I always have some sort of experience with space and it really makes you think why lol. You have similar experiences?

The closest we can get to that while still on earth? Look up The Pale Blue Dot. It turns all our problems into 2 or 3 blue pixels from Saturn's perspective. Not even leaving the solar system, and all our pleasures and pains are contained in little squares.... That's a humbling thought

That second part isn't so true anymore. Very recently we've discovered an Exoplanet 120 light years away. Called K2-18B, we found this planet has all the atmospheric chemicals needed for life but not only that we detected traces of a chemical called Dimethyl Sulfide. This chemical is something we only find produced by lifeforms, so if it is actually there, there is at the very least microbial life on K2-18B.
