Driving a small vehicle it's a rule of thumb to make way for larger and faster vehicles, not rocket science. It's not uncommon for multiple bicycles or motorcycles to fill one lane, and as a cyclist one has to account for that as well
Hell yes, I ride to and yeah the majority of these rider are at fault. A lot of blind spot riders and stoping to close and other stuff. Just red flags everywhere.
Rewatched it. Cyclist was in the wrong but only because he wasnt actuallty in the right lane at all when the biker was passing. He made valid points about how the biker isnt allowed to pass him on the right and how he can be as far to the left side of the right lane as he likes. But those arguments dont apply to him because he was actually in the left lane when biker passed.
maybe but look at how the biker took off when the light turned green to catch up to the guy on the bicycle. that was absolutely reckless. he is not a cop. biker was out of line in how he first approached the guy too. but then the guy on bike ran red light and was swerving then claims he is a vehicle too. sticky situation

11:07 the bicyclist CLEARLY goes into the left lane to make that exaggeration of a wide right turn. So that whole, "you can't pass someone on the right" argument was entirely irrelevant. Also the bicyclist wants to claim he's a vehicle but ran a red light. 🤡
Yep, as a cyclist, one of my main hates is no blinker/indicator from vehicles. And its not like turning the USS Missouri like he makes that right turn look🤦♂️ I pride myself on being out of the way where I can, early hand signals to cars and pedestrians. Everyone needs to be aware and leave the aggro hats at home,we all have homes to get back to. Now, as a bike messenger for 20+ years, I will go with no comment on the errr, running the red light bit😉
The biker shouldve read the room here. It was obvious the cyclist was going to drive to the right here. He swung a bit too far left, a touch past the line but it was still obvious. Even if the cyclist was going to drive on the left lane, he barely made it there before the biker drove past. There is no reason to drive like that by an intersection. Thats gonna get you killed one day when its not a cyclist.
Simple, one kick on his nuts. Old man will drop like a coconut from a tree. Take your key and ride away. By the time he gets up from pain and goes home to make that call to cops, the biker & his girlfriend would be long gone

The way the dude said "go kill yourself" wasn't meant in that way.. it was meant as in "go drive your bike recklessly with the potential of getting yourself killed over there, so you don't hurt the kids". That's completely fair and 100% reasonable
Yeah he was okay dunno why he was included in this compliation he had a legit point. Most stunters dont ride in populated areas specifically for the reason of not wanting to accidentally hit a person. And the old guy said it with composure and no elevation of anger to escalte the situation.

For a man on a motorcycle surrounded by cars and trucks, very few battles are worth fighting. For a man on a bicycle, the only battle worth fighting might be the one with his wife about what to eat for dinner, after he gets home (and that's questionable.) The cyclist’s own actions got him smacked by the motorcycle. Its not “passing on the right” in town. You’re telling me that if you’re in a city with three lanes, the only way to pass anyone is to move to their left.... no. Also: cyclists (or anyone) cannot initiate a turn from a center lane unless it is also a turn lane and the adjacent lane proceeds to the same direction (eg. right turn only). In this case the right lane was NOT a “right turn only” lane. The cyclist got hit because he doesn’t ride safely or practice the same rules as other vehicles. 🤷🏻♂️
The cyclist had a wrong placement in the lane. But still, passing someone on the right in the same lane does take presedence over wrong placement. Ie if police or insurance would be involved here the biker not the cyclist would get the blame.
