I can tell from the comments that a lot of y'all grew up without fathers in your home. If he takes Mech's money, that would be the same as condoning his lifestyle. Also, if he allow his teenage son to pay the mortgage, that son will eventually start thinking that he's the man of the house and the parents will have no control in their own home. And thats going to start to effect his relationship with the other kids. Kids are more influenced by what the older sibling does than what their parents say, especially if your actions are hypocritical. Eventually he won't have any control over them either. Before he know's it, he will have a house full of drug dealers.
