And her friend who WAS a DCS officer just gave her the gun instead of going inside herself? Either lazy or stupid and shouldn't be working with kids either way.
I saw this story before, and decided that maybe the real DCS officer went in for food, then came out and gave her badge and gun to the friend. I also wonder if Quikstop got tired of it and called the cops who pulled the old broken tail light gag in order to catch them.

All this proves is that even a broken clock is right twice a day. He does not deserve praise. He did not go above and beyond his everyday duties. Post 1960s cops do not deserve repsect, but they do deserve to pick out their own tree for deprivation of rights under the color of law. Any cop that arrests anyone for "unlawful posession of a firearm," or any firearm regulations, or seizes property is infringing on the constitution. Any cop that arrests anyone for drugs, or conducts a military style operation on a person for growing plants is violating the 4th amendment, the posse Comitatus Act, and the judges are violating the 8th, and 14th amendments. Ah, yes. The year 1023 I remember it like it was yesterday. There were quite a few things that happened that year around the world, but for some reason I remember this occasion the best.
little different when you got to deal with a small community where everyone knows everyone and their families vs dealing with a bunch of entitled people crammed together in a massive city. not saying you won't run into pos cops/sheriffs in rural but its def different.
I know it's not funny, but "Stay out of this, Kevin!" had me rolling. I grew up in a small town. Buck thinks his buddy is savage? Wait until church on Sunday 😂😂😂😂
Not gonna lie, I'm glad that the last guy was given a second chance, he cooperated with his fellow colleagues and didn't cause problems even though he was under the influence and was in a bad mood. I hope he didn't and won't ever do the same mistake ever again.
I'm on the fence about it. I think his only saving grace is that he was a 15 year veteran and presumably at that point he had a spotless record across those 15 years. But on the other hand I feel like that loses his credibility to serve the public when he has broken the laws he's sworn to enforce. Idk, he seems like a somewhat nice guy, but such a dumb mistake.
its so enraging that anyone could think a cop deserves to continue to be a cop after being arrested for a dui. not only was he driving drunk, but he literally slammed into the back of another car. like how the fuck are you gonna get in a drunk accident and then turn around a week later and arrest others for drunk driving. i know cops aren't perfect, but its not a fucking speeding ticket. if he would've killed someone driving under the influence, the department would have never let him be a cop again. and i like the other guys response to ur comment, its not his first time doing this, its the first time hes been caught. the fact that he was able to continue enforcing the law after this is the most hypocritical bullshit ive ever heard
I sure hope Scott is sober today. This could have very easily have been the end of his career or the end of someone's life. Stay Sober Scott... You got this!!!
I just love how he acted. I’ve seen so many act like a baby, this man just took it like a man and remained as professional as ever even while intoxicated.
Fair play to the officer in the last clip. That must have been incredibly uncomfortable for her. Considering how utterly wasted the DUI cop was, he also played along about as well as you could hope for in that kind of situation. I was primed to expect _far_ worse behaviour.
Oh you should watch the entire video. She gets way emotional to the point you can hear her starting to cry as she has to cuff him and put him in the squad car. She actually feels so bad she wants to cuff him with his hands up front but the drunk officer tells her no, because the people he hit were watching and she didn't need anyone to think she's not doing her job correctly and makes her cuff him correctly.
@@hobbitpsi Honestly sounds like a pretty good outcome, I think it's probably a good sign if officers can be at least slightly emotionally vulnerable whilst not endangering anyone lol. Exactly. This applies to all types of jobs and personal relationships. The friend who has to hold someone accountable is going to feel awful, but the real crime is the fact that person put their friend in that position to begin with.
I swear, as someone in the US, it seems like Americans are increasingly convinced that friends shouldn't hold friends accountable. I've seen it more and more prevalent in recent years personally and in media. Yet Brits will call out their friends instantly lmao

A drivers license is for commercial use, if we were still true to the constitution and the rights laid out there in, one is not required to have a license to operate any personal conveyance. Drivers licenses are just another way to extract resources from you on behalf of the government.
True, everyone makes mistakes. Cops are only human at the end of the day, and to be honest he should have known better... But by the looks of it he was a really nice guy and it seemed to me as if he was struggling with some stuff in life. Hope he got help if he was.

I bet the cop wouldn't have cared too much if Pektra hadn't been so combative - surely it would have been easy to say, "oh yeah, I went in to get food for my friend using her badge".

If you are a rebel everyone knows you for being a rebel. Living in a small town you want to have a good look otherwise people will know you for being a trouble maker.
I imagine this how the old days were in most societies. It's difficult to do a crime when so many people know who you are, where you live and can talk to your family about it. Probably less fathers abandoning their families because cheating isn't easy either. I can imagine so many benefits that come for it. No wonder modern living is dangerous and exhausting! It's so easy to get away with crime without feeling guilty about it.

I love seeing videos about cops actually doing their jobs properly. There are so many videos that highlight the bad side of law enforcement that a disgusting amount of people just assume most cops are bad
In the small town I worked in, I always dreaded this kind of thing. Even though I didn't live in the town, most everyone knew who I was, and as well, I was young at the time and got along well with most of our kids and high-schoolers, because I liked to interact with the community and let them know me somewhat, especially kids. So one day I might find myself at the local burger joint for lunch, just BS'ing and chatting with some of the kids hanging out there, and the next night I'd be surprised to find a kid I thought was a good, straight-arrow, involved in some hi-jinks. One of the best things about the job is "officer discretion"; you don't necessarily HAVE to write/charge/arrest every subject you encounter. Some things are not that serious even though unlawful, and there were times when I cut someone a break because they did what they did but in a way that ensured no one would be hurt. For example, a party in woods with teens drinking, but one sober person had been given all the car keys and was charged with making sure no one wandered off. I could give them a criminal record, but I could also reward them for being conscious of protecting the community the way they did. We also have a lot of latitude with the prosecutors, who were always glad to listen to us and often agreed to offer someone probation and a clear record after a year or something like that. One of the best compliments I ever had was when someone told me that I had a reputation of being "...kinda strict, but FAIR". Which is exactly where I was aiming to be. And for the very most part, the respect I treated the people with was returned to me even when we were meeting as a cop and a suspect. Of course, there were sometimes the case where someone you knew and actually liked stepped too far across the line and they just flat needed to go to jail. I got a little off-topic here, but I never did happen across a situation where I might have to arrest a fellow cop, but I always dreaded the possibility. If I had to, I would have, but I would have felt pretty bad. The closest I ever came was stopping another officer's wife for speeding, (not a terrible amount), and I figured out who she was from her name and address. She did not try to buy freedom by name-dropping, she just kept played it straight. But, knowing who she was, I just came back and gave her a warning, (happens way, way, way more than you probably think, cop or not), and sent her on her way with a "And tell Ron I said hi, haha". And the next day, I had a big bag of homemade cookies in my inbox. =) Turns out that was a tradition around those parts, lol.
The patience and tolerance showed by officer in the badge n food incident is outstanding... I lost it when she tried crawling and sliding around the subject and saying so.. "Cus im black.. I cant impersonate and steal? "😂

it's kinda sad about the first one, the officer sounds like he doesn't want to arrest his best friend at all, but he still had to do his job either way.
That first one was stupid. The guy should've just said that one person saying they saw something is not proof enough to arrest them, even if it was the sheriff. Because its just one person's word against the other. Of course he didn't say that, he admitted to doing it. Very stupid.
Why would his boss (the sheriff) send him to do it? It could be completely avoided. His boss is trying to ruin his personal life it sounds like. Crossing boundaries
I don't think a cops word should be enough to convict, but it's enough to investigate. And upon talking to the guy for a few minutes he straight up admitted to driving the truck home. Even though he denied being the one who was seen driving it around town beforehand, it doesn't matter at that point. This is why you keep your mouth shut and ask for a lawyer.
