What legal act from 1941 removes any power or authority from local law enforcement while they are on Federal property??? These officers do not have any power or authority on postal property at all. Their qualified immunity is gone in this case.

As I work in security myself, I have noticed that there are certain officers who buy and wear whatever they can that is legal, to look as much like a police officer as they can. Why? Unless the local police department has a written agreement with the federal government to police this post office they don’t have jurisdiction. Secondly, not even the postmaster can force him to leave a public building unless he’s broken a law. You cannot be trespassed from a public place without having committed a crime. 2nd video: These guys are security for a government building and they can’t even speak the language? I couldn’t understand 1/2 of what they said. Yea, we don’t have an official language here, but the vast majority of the population speaks English. If you can’t speak it clearly you shouldn’t have a government position dealing with the public.

First, the Postmaster General sent an email to all postmasters stating that auditors are allowed to video . Next, local cops do not have any authority in a post office unless there is an agreement

@@davidstricker6580 I'm not disagreeing, but rather I am asking if someone has a copy fo the PMG email about filming, not so much about the potential of a MOU between local LE and the local PO. That can be easily verified by a FOI to the local organizations. Also, adding that to my list of things to submit an FOI about once I can drive again. Foot surger has me off the hoofs for a while!

The problem for these employees is the state set up the interaction with the public with no thought to privacy. The work stations could be partitioned off and should be. Instead, employees are left to try and create privacy without the tools needed. The patches and badges all say SECURITY, nowhere does it say they are Law Enforcement. They do the look because people will default to them as if they are police, which makes it consensual. It's only an issue for them when someone that knows their rights tells them to kick rocks and ignores them.

3:02 there are three types of Government jurisdiction. Proprietary which means the US Government has only the authority to enforce department regulations. Concurrent allows both Federal and State jurisdiction. Exclusive Jurisdiction means only the US Government has jurisdiction. Exclusive is rare anymore. The US Government has divested itself from many f its exclusive jurisdictions.

This Reminds Me Of An Incident At Redondo Beach In Southern California. A Samoan Family Was Celebrating The Birthday Of One Of Their Family Members And Another Family Member Almost Drowned. The Police Came Over To Help, And A Family Member Who Pulled His Cousin Out Of The Water Started Administering CPR Wouldn't Let the Cops Near The Guy While He Was Performing His Technique. Mind You There Were About A Hundred People And The Guys In The Family Were Huge. One Of The Cops Pulled Out His Side Stick And Threatened To Hit The Guy With His Stick, And One Of The Cousins Who Stood About 6'9" Stepped Up And Asked The Cop What The Hell Was He Going To Do? That Dude Told The Cop That He Was Going To Take His Stick From Him And Shove It Up His A$$! By That Time About 40 Big A$$ Samoan Dudes Surrounded All Of The Cops And One Of The Older Officers Told All Of The Cops To Back Off And Let The Guy Finish His CPR Procedure. The Paramedics Showed Up, Checked Dude Out And Took Him To The Hospital. I Spoke To The Senior Cop After The Incident And He Said That Those Samoans Would Have Killed A Lot Of Officers If They Didn't Back Off!

The police used to use our building to train their drug dogs. Yes they were allowed to be there, however that is federal property and they have no jurisdiction in there. The problem is that tyrants pay no attention to that. If he was a postal employee, management would tell them to leave and they would have to comply or face charges themselves. Postal management has contempt for the public, so they just turn a blind eye to this.

When was this post office all older buildings built before a certain year are all federal jurisdiction . All older buildings cops have no jurisdiction and are breaking the law by being there and are breaking federal gun laws. After a certain date newer buildings are under a agreement with states allowing them to have jurisdiction.

I don't like when security guards dress, look, and attempt to act like cops. We need to pass laws that says clearly on the clothing of security guards something like: "I am NOT a police officer."
