I love watching these videos I was born and raised in Pittsburgh and in Washington County and now live in Phoenix. So these videos make me feel like I'm backhome with friends and family. I loved when he talked about Mt dew. We trapped a nest that way
Dude. I was weeding my flowers and got swarm attacked by an underground nest of yellow jackets and stung everywhere there was an opening this week. Great fun running through the yard, flailing and ripping off clothes, and I wasn't even tweaking. Only 30+ got back into the house with me. Once I got the Benadryl, Ibuprofin, killed every last one in the house and got a nice epsom salt bath, it was game on. My husband put down his beer and went out in his bare feet with a can of old Raid that sprayed out like an 80-yr old man trying to pee. lol. Look at it, burn it, do whatever you have to do because they're nature's assholes!

I had a whole hollow log full of them once. My wife suited up in a Plum band jacket, winter gloves/hat and sweatpants. She sprayed raid into the back entrance of log just enough to distract them and flipped the log into the yard. I quickly stood it on end and poured a five gallon bucket of hot soapy water down it. Huge hive inside.
This is so hilarious! When the nest is big, I'm one who goes out late at night with a flashlight and 4 or 5 cans of wasp spray. Oh yeah, and a yard stick to knock it down after they've been flushed out and laying in a pool of poison. 😉😄🐝🔦🤣

Samurai sword! Ever see that 1976 made-for-TV movie "The Savage Bees"? Some idiot was being attacked by killer bees and was swinging a sword at them (part of his Mardi Gras costume). Naturally, his sword pierces the protective suit the one scientist who knew how to capture the queen was wearing, causing the bees to kill him - and the sword swinger - and his girlfriend. Only Gretchen Corbett survived in her Volkswagon.
We had an upholstered chair on our porch that the bees made a giant nest inside. This made for an enjoyable evening of pulling the chair out into the yard, dousing it with charcoal fluid, and lighting it on fire! 🎉🎉
I felt like PGH Dad today, found 2 underground holes today with tons of yellow jackets buzzing around! Was about to mow the lawn, but now I gotta wait! Sprayed ‘em !
Did a hornets nest this summer with spray. After making sure they were no longer "active", my grandson and I finished the nst off with Gellblaster Surge gelletts!!! Lot of fun!!!
When i was little i remember my grandfather taking a torch to a big nest in a tree and then being chased by the hornets. Pittsburgh Dad, nithing to say about the preseason games? Great video as always.
Looks like the Browns will be more than willing to cooperate this season. Likely be at least one game of the two where the Browns snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Yeah, I'm a lifetime Browns fan.
Fairly accurate, but it would have been spot on if one of the neighborhood Dads were in the background running for his life after trying to contain the bees in a trash bag while wearing a DIY bee suit made from a mish-mash of baseball/hockey gear.

Reminds me of the time we stuffed a gas-soaked rag dahn a yellow jackets nest in my friend's concrete stairway up to his haus. We set his bushes on FIRE! We used gas because, for some reason, our badminton rackets weren't getting it done and another kid got stung in the eye.
My Dogs ran into a cardboard box that was a Yellow Jackets nest of like 1000 We slammed the door as hard as we could and had to call 911 My Girl and Amityville horror had nothing on us 😂
