As much as people like Goggins say "Hungry", I never see anyone ask, "For what?" I mean, you have to have some kind of end goal in mind. Maybe you want to be a Physicist. Maybe you want to do [insert some manner of profession or lifestyle here]. But what are you constantly running for? Is your goal to just be a glutton for punishment your WHOLE LIFE? The entire POINT of pushing yourself is so that one day you have to do it LESS. Hell, I want to be an inventor/artist. So you know what I do? I PRACTICE. I push myself a little bit more all the time, so that one day, *when I have the skills I need*, I won't have to push myself so hard anymore, because I'll understand it at that point. After that, the only time I should be pushing myself is when I want to finish a project, or I'm really passionate about what I'm doing, but then it wouldn't FEEL like I was pushing myself. It just feels that way now because I don't know what I'm doing, so it's hard to do this all by myself and constantly be willing to believe in my own potential. But once I'm THERE, it should get a lot easier. The hell would I be still be "hungry" for when I specifically went and taught myself how to cook?
