Been asking for this since day 1! Thanks, Techland! More of this and less DL Points and low-effort collabs. #techland #dyinglight2update #dyinglightgame #dyingliight2
While the DL point fiasco and shity events for like 3 months were kinda of a slap in the face, this update and even have stored some faith back into techland tbh
I have everything on 1-2 hits, It's hard to preform a finisher for me. There should be a way to stun a zombie in DL1. It's literally useless for me in the curent state
I tried it out it is great.one thing i wanna tell all of yall.that vibrations on controllers are back on all platforms when you hit a enemy. and i notice that the way you kick in the game is different then before
They should change it so you can preform a finisher once a third of their health has gone or something like that, either way I’m extremely happy with these new updates techland are doing a great job
How do I perform finishers? Because I just keep one shotting everything, but when I purposely use a crappy weapon, I'm still not seeing any kind of prompt to do it.
They already said that this is the first patch and they will be adding new ones in the near future, so you don't have to worry, just in case you missed that :D
i miss grabbing a biters arm and then neck snap from dl1 and sort of makes a return in dl2, the dl points are still cringe but i gotta give it to techland for still listening the community
Yeah, they need to get their shit together. One update is really good and gives what we want only for it to be followed by utter shit like dl points and garbage events for 3 months back to back. And now another really decent update. Talk about inconsistent :D
A simple fix for the stamina issue is have the finisher available as something you can perform when an enemy is near death even at full stamina. Games like God of War (2018) and AC Valhalla have these weird issues pop up, too, since their finishers are also tied to draining a meter or activating a particular move during a very specific moment, especially in the latter game mentioned. And then there are games like Gotham Knights or Splinter Cell: Blacklist where activation is only partially reliable, final-enemy finishers in the former and the mark-and-execute takedowns in the latter. It's why I love games like the Batman Arkham ones, Sleeping Dogs, Mad Max, and so on that don't confuse the players as to what's going on to get the cooler side of combat to work. It's mechanically consistent. Seems to be a problem as soon as damage numbers and leveling are included. Even the original Dying Light had its finishers so easy to come across. Dead Island 2 seems to manage well in that regard, too.
I mean they are still different that both have stuff to offer. We just have to hope that the DL points shit woun't become worse as it already is. Otherwise people are just going to quit even with good updates like this.
It's great and all, but the number of glitches I've experienced this patch is unreal. Dl1 may not be perfect, but holy hell, it is way more smooth than this game.
"When developers actually listen" There's a difference in listening to the community and giving back just a tiny bit of the shit ton of content that's cut out of the game and just bringing it back.
So bringing back features and introducing new ones that the community wants isn't listening to the community? It doesn't really matter if the content was cut or not. They still listend to the feedback in this case, so your point is?
I'll be sure to give this game a go with my brother once we finish all of the first dying light. I was never able to finish this game because at the time I couldn't really find enjoyment in it but all these changes do make the game look enticing again.
Everything except the story is good. Traversal, combat, gore, weapons, enemies, graphics, cutscenes. You name it, but a lot of story related things like the characters and the plot aren't very interesting. Except the VNC mission, that's probably the best mission in the game
Now my only problem with the game is the noisiness of the visuals. Half the time i dont know if the enemies face is split open or its just covered in blood.
I mean the korek charm was always a gimmick and an actual repair function was needed, just wish they had done it like in DL1 not only on craft masters place as it is just inconvenient
A small change I want is for them to actually allow you to do finishers if they are Stunned like in the first game I rarely see these finishers Especially when you are end game
This is really cool but at the same time all my weapons kill them in one shot not letting me do the finisher. Even with a weapon that does 39 damage i still cant get it. My fists are the only weapon that works all the time
Haven't played the 2nd one yet cause my PC can't but did they remove these finishers from the first game in the first place? If so then that's just outright stupid and they're getting credit for adding things that should already be in the game. It's like youtube getting best company award for inventing the dislike button.
@@DiabolicalMeek wow really? that's sad Like I said, RU-vid getting awatd for inventing the dislike button. I maybe a schizo but it almost feels like they did it on purpose lol
@@DiabolicalMeek Because I already finished Dying Light 2 year ago and now they just deployed new update. It's quite late for this move, they should have did it sooner
Goddamn these are clean as fuck, i have a feeling being max level will be a problem for triggering them though, i can one shot most shit. Id imagine having a weapon with a high stance damage affix helps alot.
No, I still find them scummy and will always have my trust in Techland damaged but atleast we are getting something other than shitty event's and overpriced skins for a change. Take what you can right?
People have been asking them way before Dead Island 2 as they were in Dying Light 1, now they just had enough time after fixing the core problem like combat and parkour. And probably cause dl points got a lot of backlash so this is trying to get people in a better mood
So we can't be angry when they bull shit like dl points and say they did well when they actually deliver? Those 2 ain't mutually exclusive, all people want is for the game to get better although the trust has been damage long term since the points were introduced
@@DiabolicalMeek i mean, u could just buy the bundles for normal prices. The entire community was pissed when they introduced dl points but dont HAVE to buy every single bundle there is.
Or they were pissed as the bundles were almost 2 times more expensive than in DL1 while having basically the same content and not being able to just buy it for a price and having to spend extra money for some point packs that don't give you enough for a single bundle? Or the fact that this is still a full-price 60 euro game that put in a free-to-play module? This update is good but that doesn't change the fact that the DL points were unacceptable in any form in a 60 euro game, I will forever stand by it.@@joey4275
@@DiabolicalMeek dying light 1 had one or two finishers the New ones look exactly like in di2, you're telling me that they thought of the elemental zombies before dead Island 2? Lol, the amount of copium this community takes is crazy You probably dont know this but their higher ups specifically tell the devs what they should copy from other popular games
"when developers actually listen..." nope not really, microtransactions are still in a single player game even when people told them they didn't like it.
These are still scammy but this video wasn't about that and was about the community update 3. I have already made a video on the dl point situation so I ain't gonna waste time in something I have already covered, simple
Yeah, it's damage control from the dl points fiasco but atleast the game is getting better. Better have this than more boring ahh events and shitty skins
Awesome thank you for the answer brotha... I stopped playing this like halfway through when it came out I think I'm just going to start it over with all these new additions
