Son’s transformation into a world class player has been influential in bringing out Kane’s playmaking abilities. Kane’s always had brilliant movement and an eye for a pass but this season it’s even more evident because of Son’s quality in the final third. The Kane-Son partnership can pay dividends for Spurs and finally win them something this season. Add Bale to this and they can be an even greater threat, they can only improve from here.

He's the most complete striker in the world currently. Lewandowski may be a more prolific goalscorer but Kane offers much more to his team overall.

They both have different playing styles all together. Comparing Kane to the likes of Lewa in his current playing style would be unfair since the team Lewa plays with already has more than enough playmakers and no 10's. The likes Muller and Goretzka more than suffice for playmaking in Bayern. I'm not telling you that Kane is overrated, all I mean to say is that Kane's current playing style can't be compared to that of Lewa. According to me, Kane is defo top 3 best strikers to play in the Prem and I really love his new playing style but saying Lewa doesn't offer the same to his team is slightly unfair since I have seen Bayern games and even games when he played in Dortmund where Lewa would drop back and play to a much similar role as Kane. Both Kane and Lewa are possibly the best strikers I have seen till date tbh. Peace.

I don't watch a lot of Spurs, but I noticed Kane's playmaking ability with England back in Russia 2018. Since Lingard/Dele/Hendo aren't great creators, Kane constantly had to drop deep to get the ball and then look fro Sterling/Rashford running in behind. That's how England beat Spain 3-2 in the Nations League as well. The only question is WHY did Roy/Southgate never try a Kane/Vardy duo? Vardy is lethal when it comes to finishing after running past defenders

My only issue with assists is it’s reliance on the person on the other side to finish. Like I rate Ozil (at Arsenal) and Hazard would have more assists if they had more competent forwards on the other end of their passes. I’m not saying it’s a bad metric though.

I've always found him really strange as a forward - no pace threat but still somehow managed to rack up really good goalscoring numbers. I think this role makes sense, he'll never run in behind. Spurs have rapid widemen; he can pass. And he's still very much a threat with his ability to discharge a quick short and in the air. Really excited to see him grow in the role.

Ever since He's lost that Extra Yard of Pace! Don't get Me Wrong he ain't no slouch, but with Spurs' Fast Wingers/In side FW's ie Son, Moura, Bergvine and Bale! He's dropping a bit deeper like Sheringham did at Spurs (Kanes always had a good football Brain/In the air etc). So with Mourinho at the helm He's seen this and it's working well!!! His position is basically a false 9. It's just not that common for a player of his stature to have a good passing skill. So, having a big false 9 is an advantage. Teams can't just assume he'd be either true 9 or false 9.

This is simply because Mourinho made a Tactical Switch to Tottenham’s Play. He deployed Kane in a deeper Position in the field, with Son and Moura (Could be Lamela and Bale) being deployed wide higher up the Pitch, with Harry Kane providing Key Passes to them. This is the reason why Son’s Goals include Harry Kane taking the Assists.

If Harry Kane scores tomorrow (against Arsenal at home), he will score goal nr 250 in his senior career for club and country, in his 420th game, behind only one player: Lionel Messi, who took 379 games to score 250 goals. Then: Alan Shearer (479), Sergio Aguero (510), Cristiano Ronaldo (510) Wayne Rooney (562) That's only half of what Harry Kane does on the pitch, his passing and pressing and defensive work is still up there with the best midfielders. It's amazing how underrated and under appreciated he is as a complete footballer

Can you make a video about salah showing how good he is..... Salah doesnt deserve the hate. Imo he is the best rw to play in epl cauz his prime is only rivaled by Henry and cr7 epl prime. And since joining lfc only messi has had more G/A than salah(No lewan no cr7 thats how good salah is but im not saying hes as good as Messi and CR7). Salah currently has 143 G/A. Also since joining lfc only kdb has had more big chances created. And salah has had the most dribbles leading to chances showing his dribbling is acc amazing. He is also 1 of 5 in epl history to win back2back golden boots. Salah can dribble pass shoot and do everything else. Also he is 2nd fastest player to reach 100 G/A in epl only sherear was faster. He also is the second with most G/A in first 100 games in epl(70 G/A only shearer has had more in 100 Games... 79 also realise the 10 games he played at chelsea are counted). Salah has never got less than 30 G/A at lfc. And in his prime he had 60 G/A in UCL and Epl only. He had 1.2 G/A per game.

Interesting that you talked about the trend of higher pressing this season. This might explain why Newcastle United are doing so well this season, or at least how they surprisingly got results against Wolves and Everton ie better opponents. Teams now adjust their strategies to opposition's that play a high press, therefore needing defences to push up in order to penetrate with providers between the lines and scorers beyond them. That hasn't been something you can do with Newcastle due to their rather ridiculously low block which you guys talked about in the video. Indeed, they are in the bottom half of the league for most attacking stats, they're 16th for xG, 13th for goals scored, etc yet this is their best ever start to a season... Because they top several defensive leaderboards. Now, the low block has been something of a rarity in the past few seasons, with only Burnley and a couple of others going with it, but this season it's so especially rare that a well deployed low block coupled with shameless old fashioned tactics, has become almost innovative. Basically Newcastle are getting points by surprising the opposition with just how basic they really are as a team, and that's why they're doing so well. A critic of the low block would inevitably bring up Burnley's poor start to the season to combat this, but that would forget how central Mee and Tarkowski, both of whom have had injuries throughout the season start, are to their low block. In fact it revolves around them, and without them it fails, hence why they're crown jewels. If not Burnley might get shocks too. This of course isn't Kane or spurs related but seemed an interesting strategic point.

A few caveats: 4 of the assists coming in one game for a small sample size, Southampton and the lack of fitness meaning they couldn't play the high defensive line well (and have been defensively solid since), and so on. Overall was hoping for more analysis than opinion-led statements, use of existing footage, heat maps, and a few more stats/underlying numbers things. Otherwise it just sounds very general opinion. Not as good as some of the other videos here.

Kane is the only person we will see for a long time with both the finishing and creative ability to match/beat Henry’s goals and assists record in the PL. If he even keeps up half of his current form of 8g/6a in 7 for most of the season he will absolutely blow Henry’s 20g/20a out of the water.

Sorry just can't agree with for the first time. He is a good good striker but always lazy ! Mourinho is making him work now . Yes I agree he's a fantastic finisher but like all English players the media hype them up so high . You would have to wonder why nobody like real madrid-barcelona has come in a huge bif that could not be turned down ?? There has to be a reason for that !

@4:51....I agree with this prediction. Kane might just play a No.10 role in future and this is a threat for Ndombele, Lesoso and Dele Ali because Kane is just as good as then in creating - if not better.

Kane did this a lot with England. Looking back at highlights of games for 4 years back. He dropped back, went to the wings and played a lot of good balls in. But he's got Son now who finishes the chances he creates.

Kane always had playmaking ability if you look at his early years. Son has more pace and his finishing is solid. I don't see why you can't have a front two who can alternate roles. Remember keane + berbatov?

Theo Walcott should have moved to spurs when Son moved to spurs, he scored a lot of goals playing down the middle for Arsenal and Kane`s long passes could have found Walcott on counter runs exploiting his pace.

I know many people won't like to hear this but Tottenham played their best football in 18/19 when Kane was out injured and Moura and Son played centrally making runs and using their pace to get behind defences. I feel like Mourinho noticed that and tried to integrate their best player with what he identified was evidently their best style of play.
