I feel that all the good sheikhs are all concentrated in the state of Texas. Sh. YB is an underrated i believe. He is a good scholar and covers the topics of today that are so relevant
We moved to Tx so we can see them on a daily basis alhamdulilah! I ve watched Sh. YB on youtube for so long, that the first time I met him was such an honor!

All my life before I became a Muslim I had a pet. A pet who have protected the house and bring happiness for me , many time. And I have thank God for this. I have had a dog before I became a Muslim. Yes I love my dog. Yes she inside of house. Any noise that she hear let me know check the back yard. At this time of my life I can't just let her go now. May Allah forgive me. I'm 100% certain Allah knows my situation. Please don't judge me for this or say I'm Doom or your not a Muslim anymore. I treat my dog like a part of my family. May Allah bless me for this. She stay close to me because she feel safe and she feels loved. That it!!!!!
Already had a small dog and now I reverted Alhumdulillah She is 14 and always been a nervous dog Cannot be out side Will Allah forgive me until she passes ?
its all about the niyyah...like sheikh said if you keep the dog for legitimate reason..ie your niyyah and direction is correct and dont do the silly stuff that comes with the passing of time..then i guess yes. Allah knows best

Asalaamu Alaykum Sheikh. Can you please talk about cats? I've heard so many hadith about cats and how it's sunnah to keep them. Are these hadith true? Is there great benefit in owning them.
Wa alaykum assalaam wr. I have studied cats in islam and i have not heard that it is sunnah to keep them. But if you can share the reference for that, i would appreciate it. I know Abu hurairah, cats they liked him a lot. That's all I know. But obviously, they are allowed in the house and are better than dogs. Clearly meaning for angels visits.
