This is my first little flock of Rhoade island reds and i love them so much, yeah my friends say, dang they are just chickens, but hey, they are my girls, started them off in my house. Any way, i got 6 and 3 are laying at 22 weeks. Should i worry about the other 3? I think i started their laying feed a bit early, im praying i didn't. Don't want to hurt their kidneys. Like i said, i love my girls though they can be stubborn. Lol
@@garyshelor1396 mine have all been laying now for last 3 weeks. But i recently cut back on that laying feed. Dang, their egg shells seemed to hard. Good luck with yours. Its odd, old timers say they never used all these new feeds and said chickens usually know how to survive with foraging and just need to give them a little feed. They will be ok.
I bought all my chicks 3/3/2022....6 ISA BROWNS....STARTED...laying 15 weeks. 2 comets....16 weeks...2 Americana ...still none....3 Buff...1 laying ..2 not. WHATS UP?? ALL bought same time. 2 of BUFF their combs are tiny. One of Americana...no comb. Is something wrong with them?
Hi Anna thanks for your video. I have Barred Plymouth Rocks and Easter Eggers and they are just starting to lay eggs. You’re right it’s such an exciting time just like an Easter egg hunt every day even though I know where the eggs are LOL. It never gets old.
