When following Jesus comes with afflictions

I talk about how to steward pain. I think it's so important for us as Christian to always remind ourselves that afflictions will come, pain will come, trials will come, etc. It is important to know know how to go about it not murmuring, rejoicing, praying! It is foreign for our flesh, but with God it is possible.
And Jesus said,
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.
John 16:33
Be a good steward of the pain. Surrender it to God, because ultimately He allowed it.
Take heart.

Thepain is unbearable sometimes but God suffered for us. We have our share of God's glory in our enduring and long suffering. His grace is sufficient for us.

The Israelites who complained in the wilderness, typical example. Because of their lack of faith (except with the likes of Joshua and Caleb), they wandered 40 years in the desert and perished there. Read his word day and night, give him daily obeisance and praise and command your days speaking of the authority of Christ Jesus. Look around you and see what God has created, he’s a magnificent God. Extraordinary. Don’t ever forget where you came from. We all have a testimony so continuously praise God for what he’s done and what he’s going to do!! I recommend fasting and prayer, choose an objetive that you’re struggling with and ask the father to guide you. It could be a daniel fast or a water fast, whatever God has lead you to do. Even 1 day works. Devote yourself to God. See Joshua 1:8-9💕 I’m praying for you, don’t miss out on God’s greatness due to your little faith. He’s worth the work!

I love praying for the following when I am in seasons like this: 1. Joy to go through it (dancing in the rain) 2. Grace 3. Perspective (the right mindset to set my perspective on what God is doing, seeing and getting out of me) 4. Purpose/service (people God wants me to serve in those seasons, purpose for my pain, who my story will liberate) 5. People (praying that God brings the right support system my way and enable me to be encouraged) Bonus: Praying for confidence and comfort in God Did i miss anything?

Thanks for touching on this topic. I think a balance to this topic is also the tendency to become accepting of spiritual attacks when you perceive it is not from God. These are things God calls us to resist the devil on. The other spectrum of this is careless living, but doing what we can to live right and not hasten these ailments upon ourselves.

I'm so glad i was led to play this today. I'm currently going through a hard time and i have been so discouraged by it that i have been beating myself up for having "weak faith". I even gaslit myself into believing that i never had faith in the first place and that i probably don't really love Jesus. This video has encouraged me. I see it like this: life is full of suffering. The good thing about Christianity is that you have a good reward and purpose even in and through life’s unavoidable sufferings. One of the fruits of the Holy Spirit is joy and as Christians we know that happiness is circumstantial but joy is everlasting. So we are assured that no matter what comes our way we have the joy of the Lord in our hearts and that surpasses all understanding, quite literally. A Christian’s suffering is not in vain, there is hope in Christ. In the end you know where you’ll be and the promises of God are sure. And must I say GOOD! If you don’t want suffering, then that’s the more reason why you should know Jesus. Because hell is eternal suffering and Christ is the ONLY way of salvation. So hey, choose Jesus and experience the way, the truth and the life
