Clouds look heavy, like it's about to rain. That always brings the grackle flocks down lower to the ground. They are colony birds so roost together. There will be a parking lot full of them in the trees, and the next lot doesn't have any.
grackles are a lovely species honestly, they completely devoured all the spiders and other bugs in my aunts back yard every spring since she doesnt cut the grass anymore. i heard they even hunt termites if they can find them.
I feel bad for the caregiver / guardian. That cannot be a fun life. You literally can't even enjoy the bird apocalypse. Honestly I hope those grackles part way and the leader wants to be his magical companion.
