Martha, my heart just broke for you watching this segment this morning. What a wonderful, heart wrenching story. I was so pleased to see you have Girlie now, but oh my heart, the loss of your beautiful Minnie and her chance companion, Harry and your friend, Carol. So many losses, so close together. It is said that angels walk among us, and they do- as doggies and kitties. For these fur babies are so full of love and understanding. They are the most dependable beings that humans will ever encounter. They want nothing more than love, playtime, and food of course- tasty treats on the regular is a plus. I shall be forever grateful for the 19 years I had with my kitty who passed away last summer. He made me laugh as he chased around his favorite toys, helped me as I graded my students papers by laying on top of them, snuggled next to me every night as I read myself to sleep, and help me through the darkest days of depression by just being with me.

Martha, I’m so sorry for your losses. I cried thinking of my own Bishop who died last January at 22 years old. Our anniversary is February 14. That’s when I adopted him in 2004. From January 11 to February 14 is very hard for me. I’m so glad you have Girlie. She’s beautiful. May you have many happy years together.

I knew I was gonna cry watching this. Just didn't realize how much. I turn 56 this year, am single, & I have 2 cats that are very young. My last 2 of my lifespan. They are my kids. Seeing this made me realize I should make plans for them in case I die. I don't ever wanna see them separated, they are like brothers.

Our bull terrier Mitch crossed the rainbow bridge six years ago last month. Died peacefully in his sleep. After, for a week or two, I could swear I heard him and even thought I saw him once or twice. Two weeks later bull terrier pup Jack arrived. There is a bond that only dog owners can appreciate.

This is such a beautiful story and I do want to add my own experience and belief about our connection with our beloved companions and pets. Some years ago I had a telephone appointment with a psychic therapist who I never met in person. She asked me if I were aware that there was the spirit of a little black dog always with me; she said that she couldn’t tell if it was a boy or a girl? I burst into tears as years before this call I had moved from California to Hawaii and left my beloved cockapoo♥️🐾🌈, a girl name Sam, with my best friend Catherine as I didn’t want Sam to have to go through quarantine. I had always felt sad about that and when she told me this wonderful lady named Pat told me about Sam always being with me; it was an amazing joyful and freeing thing for me. ALL is well; through love we are all ONE and FOREVER CONNECTED. Blessings to everyone, Aloha I’mua 🙏🏼♥️🐾♥️🌏🌺CA. p.s. I know Minnie is with Martha and Harry is with Carol and they are all still connected by the love they forever feel.😇

It will be a year in March that I lost my Girly, only a few months after her brother Goodman died, and this video made me cry as much as the day I lost them. Martha, thank you for befriending Carol and caring for those sweet dogs. I am very sorry for your loss.

I cried so hard with this story. It was both beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time.💔💔🐾 I taped this video on my phone and the strangest thing kept happening...the video would freeze every time at Lissa's segment with her holding the toga. It froze the first time I watched it at 7:30:30. Then I charged my phone a little and then came back and tried again. Then It froze at 8:30:30. So I gave up and decided to try watching the video later at around 10. The video froze once again. This time at 10:30:30. My only explanation...I took it as a sign that Carol and Lissa must have been very close and shared a very special bond.❤❤🌸🌈
