I mean, there's no Auto-Tune, but there's compression on that mic. Not that he needs it. It just adds a different edge to his voice that I recognize. Nonetheless, an amazing rendition!

If he is the best male vocalist you're ever heard, you must be very young. Have you never heard the late, great Mario Lanza? His range was from baritone to tenor. He didn't have to go all over the scale to show that he could "sing". He could sing opera and love songs. Etta James was fantastic but if I'm not mistaken, "At Last" came out in the 1930-1940's. There were a lot of wonderful tenors, baritones, sopranos and contralto's in the "Big Bands".

Austin Brown is the sky high tenor member of an a cappella voice band called Home Free. They won the 4th Season of the Sing Off reality show back in 2013. He’s had experience being in one, enjoyed it, but probably won’t enter again.
