Do you hide who you really are from other people? Do you hold yourself back from really connecting with others? Are there other people who annoy you, irritate you, drive you crazy? In this webinar, Ann Weiser Cornell offers wisdom and gentle guidance for accepting every part of yourself, even the parts you’ve felt you always had to hide.

"What would be great for you?" ... this question totally got me ... just to think of it. Thank you! Would be great if the course would be repeated? I would be interested!

This is a very heavy way to ask this but I struggle to understand the mirror theory on some level. If I get raped, how is that person a mirror of me? I don’t understand. If someone is cruel to me, how is that person a mirror if I’ve been nothing but kind to them? Is a mirror not me being nice & a person mirroring that back to me? Or if I’m mean they are mean to me.. I feel like the whole mirror thing is not as spot on as life is & people are a lot more complex I wish I could afford to take your course that is coming up. Unfortunately I won’t be able to pay for it by the 18th. Plus my work schedule does not allow me to attend live. Perhaps I could purchase the recordings after. I’m just learning to be in my body & am 37. I have no clue what my body is telling me a lot of times other than when it’s hungry or scared

Christine - Thank you so much for expressing your truth, and for your feedback that my presentation wasn't clear. I'm sorry about that! Because I was talking about a person close to you who has an annoying habit, I didn't think that someone would think I was talking about violence. I am absolutely not saying that the victim of violence should find a mirror of themselves in that behavior. I'm also not saying that the "mirror" is an explanation or a theory about all behavior, even the ordinary annoying kind. All I am trying to say is that if we want to, we can turn toward our own annoyance at another person with curiosity. Being curious about whether my criticism of another person might also be true of myself can be illuminating. But I am not saying it always is! Again, I appreciate your point of view, and thank you for sharing it.

@@annweisercornell2054 I didn’t think you meant anything negative or bad :) . It was more of a general question that I’ve always had regarding how people are mirrors to us. I really enjoyed watching/listening to the recording & doing the exercises. I am going to watch & do then again right now, hopefully with more focus. I have a wandering mind that seems to enjoy inflicting pain on me & keeping me out of my body as much as it can. So I really enjoy being able to do anything I can to bring me back into my body & be with myself that way when I can & better understand myself. Thank-you so much for this free webinar! Sending much love your way 🤍🌸
