@@icehole51 it’s not surprising. The Ai trains by listening etc. so often the really good narrative voice are that of public figures, actors, and celebrities. That because has so much to draw from the public record
Reminds me of the days me and my 2 brothers and 4 close friends hit the bar...one of us gets into a fight and 😳😧😩one thing leads to another and tomorrow morning I'm bailing us all out of out of jail with a blackeye and busted lip saying ..."Hell Yeah...lets to that again tonight"
I remember the quote if Quark: they're wonderful, friendly people as long as their bellies are full and their hella sweets are working. But take away their creature. Comforts deprive them of food, sleep sonic showers and put their lives in jeopardy over an extended period of time and those same friendly, intelligent and wonderful people will become as nasty and as violent as the most bloodthirsty Klingon you don't believe me, look at those faces. Look at their eyes...
Definitely what a human would have said😂. It reminds me another story that there was some wasp like insectoids and attacked to some alien human friends and we got pissed and during the war after owning them the humans spread a podcast to everyone including the wasp like enemy queen saying "Problem with Wasps? not to worry, call the human republic and we'll take care of it" 😂
I would have said, "yes, that's such an unfair fight. Ill tell you what, Ill set right here will you go get your brothers, cousins and even your friends. Then it will be a fair fight."
@@roberthicks5454 eh too much, if you lose you'll be seen as an arrogant talker. If you're to look like a badass either give a warning once or troll them to extinction, even if you lose that way you could still save face
Not a direct quote. Not even a quote at all. There's no documentation in Japanese or neutral sources that Yamamoto ever made the "sleeping giant" comment (and naturally there wouldn't have been any Americans around to hear him say it). All the attributions to Yamamoto are post-war and hearsay two or more times removed. See "Pearl -- December 7, 1941" by Daniel Allen Butler (Casemate, 2021) pp 29 and 273....
no matter how strong you are... always act and prepare as if there is a much bigger shark around , lurking at the edge of your vision just waiting for itself to grow hungry enough to lazely turn and gobble you up , and maby you survive when such a thing realy happens
@@Amoth_oth_ras_shashThe Spathi perfected this. Didn't they believe that there is an entity called "the ultimate evil" lurking just outside the detection range of their best scanners.
Reminds me of an old sci fi novel in the future humans were psychologically conditioned to be pacifists till an alien species attacked. Then the universe discovered the reason why him and had sworn off war. It was because we were too good at it.
@@SEAW1NG - It’s an AI voice, but I must admit, it’s a good one. Keep in mind that these stories are snagged from Reddit, sent to an AI speech generator, and misspellings, hyphenated words, etc., cause glitches in the matrix like this. 😵💫
Reminds me a little of the Man Kzin Wars. The aliens disdain the hairless apes and their eschewing of war for the past few centuries. What they didn't understand was that the humans gave up war because they were so very, VERY good at it!
Well done. I'm old school, would have rather actually read this in a compilation of short stories. Yes, people still read actual books. Reminds me of the style of Saberhagen. Maybe you'd cover his first novel of the Berserker books, a fantastic series of short stories, would be a great tribute to an underrated sci fi author.
@@malcolmanderson6735 agreed, but I should have not said underrated, but almost forgotten. Keep in mind, most people dont read nowadays, let alone great fiction.
The Liam N AI voice generator is making me think of War of the Worlds. The chances of anything coming from mars are a million to one, yet still they cooooooooome.
@@MacerXGP Some people use lol for sarcasm, too. Huh, I guess you didn't know that before you stupidly responded to my sarcastic comment about Liam Neeson needing work as a narrator for a sci-fi channel? Thanks for your reply setting me and anyone else who actually thought Liam might, currently, be down on his luck and doing odd jobs to make a bit of scratch.
This narrator/voice actor has the perfect voice and pronunciation. He brings us through the story with a perfect ....I don't know the word...anyway he keeps you riveted to the story. Great job and if it is ai incredible.
Call me old-fashioned in Naval traditions but I believe when humans master space travel, which we will one of these days I believe the first large ship we make that has any sort of combat capacity should be named after the HMS Dreadnought a technological masterpiece of its time only seems fitting
I haven't double checked, but didn't Commander Zilax get vented into space in the initial attack on Earth? He's awfully healthy at 23:55, lol. EDIT: Yup, Zilax and his bridge crew were sucked out into vacuum @ 4:35. Even if he had on a suit, he's a tough old bird (or whatever).
The benefit of being a single planet species is how little we have to defend. Of course there is a limit to how far this can go it still poses a threat when your opponent is allowed to gather the collective military of the entire species in one place.
Lots of comments that the voice sounds like Liam Neeson. His early role as a deaf-mute in the 1987 movie “Suspect” was powerful precursor to his acting capabilities, even though he never said a word!
A human walks into an alien bar known for fights. "I can whip 2 dozen of you by myself." The aliens laugh and 24 of them follow him out. The sounds of a fight can be heard over the music for quite some time, followed by silence. A while later, one of the aliens crawls back in. "DONT LISTEN TO HIM", he screamed at the top of his weakened, dying voice. "There are two of them."
