Getting your first German hiking equipment from the spirit of hiking is like becoming a knight of the English crown. We are all very proud of you. Now get em Tiger!
As we all swore at the beginning of the first hike.. we will always remember the german spirit of hiking.. we all will pray for him before, during and after the hike.. always.. 🥲🫡🧎🇩🇪🚶 I'm so proud of you Liam
I think the Zeil is a very much connected to nature. No, I'm not talking about the panhandlers where you can choose whether your "donation" well be invested in (a) alcohol (b) drugs (c) dog food. Nope. The true epitome of nature is when you witness a horse playing the drums. Well, maybe it's a human in horse disguise, but you can't really tell after visiting the "Konsti" farmers market. Which, contrary to common belief, *does* also sell a small variety of non-alcoholic food. You can easily find these market stands; they are the ones without a crowd.
Honestly, I am pretty good at hiking. I walk fast enough to reach my distance at a reasonable time, but slow enough to enjoy the beauty and to maintain my energy. I deeply love hiking in nature and walking for long hours through mountains and forests. That's probably my most favorite thing about Germany. My sister on the other hand.... We hiked a pretty small mountain and she was completely gassed whereas it felt more like a warm up for me even when we got to the top 😂😂😂
Oh Wow...that "Right of Passage" moment when ya just know you made it!!!! Reminds me so fondly of when Mum gave me her car keys for first time to go grab some milk and bread. The responsibility was heavy but oh so liberating.
This remembers me of my friend Sylvia. She lived in the Bavarian Alps and she encouraged me to hike. We did it together when I visited her. I am not that healthy and never had climbed mountains before, but with her help I could reach a lot. Now she is my guardian angel.❤️
I still remember how my Germany grandpa just simply read a book in his car while I go riding horse for 2 hours. I still remember how happy he is when see me back with the horse.
And now I remember my German ancestors 🇩🇪🪶that's why I love to hike in the forest very long distance and never get tired. All I need is my backpack, waterpottle, and some apple 🍎 . In the forest I can find my wooden walking stick. I did really remember now 🪶My grandfather was from Germany 🇩🇪 He's name was Aksel Adolf. He was in that war, too. Tales was horrible. But he had an Estonian wife, Linda Rosalie, and they built themselves a house 🏠. Every brick was put together ❤️
That's by far my favorite out of these "living with my 'other country' wife/husband" channels, always love and laugh hard at the clips. Well well done mate keep it up ❤😁😁
It's soooooo true.. I can't even show it to my partner.. he would cry seeing this.. remembering his dad.. he now owns his complete hiking gown. It's still funny thooo 😄😄but in a loving way ♥️♥️
I like how there is absolutely no explanation to why she was there or why she just faded from existence but I’m not German so i guess it must happen all the time.
The last time a bunch of Germans went through the woods "old school", they were on Meth and they invaded France. I'm much more happier with them wearing matching outfits like it's the mid-2010s in the USA. It ain't Lululemon and Acterix or whatever, but it's working.
As someone who works in a sport shop in Germany I can say, this is EXACTLY what people buy. They say, they are going hiking I know what they will choose. They walk out looking like every hiking German ever. 😂
German people are really something else! I'm pretty new here in Germany, and it shocks me every time to see tons of people running/jogging in the most windiest and coldest weather in shorts!! 😱 I can't help but think, why are these people torturing themselves voluntarily...? 🤷♀️ Although Iove the nature, and I do walk a lot as a Hungarian, and I can take cold weather easily, this would have never happened to me. 🤣 Maximum respect to the German people! They are really one of a kind! ❤️
Ive absolutely loved being here for this channels journey, its just kept getting better. Its getting so good i have to remind myself that youre british 😂
Found you by accident ages ago. I am a Pole living in Scotland and honestly most of this stuff applies to us. All my małe relatives always look like this even when they are just running to the shops. So easy to tell us apart.
I'm german but dated a guy from London for a while and when he came here for a weekend I took him hiking and packed a pretzel for an authentic german experience haha
I would accept every translation, that's far away enough from the original word anyway tbh. I mean Pretzel sounds like You'll break within the next 20 seconds and Brezel just sounds wrong to me. That's like conplaining, why the "Gurke" is called so weird in English. That doesn't effect anything about the thing itself. (At least for me)
