I was thinking the same thing as I am an extreme introvert that through gruesome and horrible training, was able to "pretend" to be extroverted until I could finally do it "naturally". I get that feeling from Polka too. *EDIT* : The way you can tell if someone is naturally an extrovert vs. someone that forced themselves to learn being extroverted.... the former tend to be very good at interacting with others whereas the latter will often seem a bit brash or strangely forward. Not exactly rude but maybe will explain either too much or not enough.... too many or few details but not realize it. Not that anybody asked but, I'm constantly told that I'm "so good with people" but I hate it and try to avoid it at all cost. Even if I tell people that I am not interested in going out with them or doing something, they will strongly insist and assume that I secretly REALLY want to join them. To normies, being alone is unnatural and bad. They can't understand someone that isn't like them and no explanation will suffice. Polka has no doubt run into this countless times and dispenses with pleasantries despite being a young Japanese woman. That is pretty hardcore btw and tells me she is like this too.

im the same with polka i guess, im an intro but also want to communicate with other people, not that awkwardly, so before i invite someone not so close to me, i have this list of topics i can just throw when talking hehe, or if that doesn't work, i just let the conversation flow, it works a lot of times

totaly, I only have two social modes. Overanalyze and panic about everything, and just dumbly do whatever pops into my head and THEN overanalyze and panic over everything.

I think like Kanata, but I feel like I portray more of a Polka. Like, I just think all of those things and that text that boils down to a slightly more formal 'hey are you free? Too many people confuse social anxiety with introvertism. You can be introverted and still be very good in social situations, and you can be extroverted with social anxiety, although that's far less common.

Polka is one of my breed, she's an ambivert. We fill the role needed, and most times people notice the extrovert nature easier than the introvert. :)

@@Micheldied part of it is that the Japanese terms they’re using (inkya and youkya) don’t actually translate to introvert and extrovert. There are different Japanese words for those.

@@randomlurker7929 but that also why they need that relations. It is due to the acknowledgement of what a senior do. Sora is the spear head of hololive that make what it is today. Many of the gen 0 went to hololive also because of Sora. So to them she is a legend. Even in the rest of the world when a person meet a legend will be like that. Of course Sora want them to be more casual with her because she think without the kouhai she herself cant bring hololive to where it is now. but to the kouhai, with no Sora unyieldingly want the hololive to be successful, they would be no platform for them to get as many sub as they are now. it is chicken and egg thing all over again a I guess
