Namjoon, It’s your special day and I just want to wish you the happiest birthday today. Through these past years, you have carried the group on your shoulders. You took the sacrifices and represented the group as what a capable and selfless leader should do. As BTS is soaring high, you probably bear a lot of stress and pressure in you. But I hope you know that we are here to ease your burdens and support you despite the inevitable adversities. BTS would be unimaginable without you. You are the powerhouse that centralizes the team and encourages each member to equally shine on their own. For you to take a huge step in music is a courageous decision to do and I am thankful that you believed in your musical potential and decided to follow your utmost heart. My love for you has never changed for the past three years I’ve been here and it’s because of your music that motivates me to continuously live and strive for my dreams even though it’s hard to get by every day. Your compassion and sincerity are what draws your music to millions of people and you should be proud of yourself for helping us to empower ourselves in what seemed like a little but influential way. This is sensitive to talk about but I’ve been suffering from depression throughout my teenage years and I’ve had suicidal thoughts countless times but you came when I needed you the most. I have a tendency to bottle up my emotions because I am afraid of being misunderstood and appearing weak towards the vast universe. I have questions ruminating to my mind as to why I am given this life. This life that I always took for granted. This life that I want to escape and withdraw. Being under a skin that I always despised. Every day feels like I am drowning in a sea of wavering thoughts but I feel validated and of worthy when your music speaks the inexplicable agony in my heart. Your music speaks the emotions of my heart that I couldn't seem to fathom. When I needed comfort, safe haven and someone to understand me; your music and consoling words silenced the inner voice that is rattling my relentless thoughts. And because of that, I’m learning to find a reason to stay in this realm because I know that this world will become a better place as long as your music exists. Your simple existence is what makes you admirable, especially when you are appreciative towards nature and its living creatures. You are not afraid to befriend the animals regardless of its appearance along the way and it makes me realized that you still carry a childlike innocence. On the other hand, the fact that you are willing to take criticisms even though you are afraid to accept them and being able to acknowledge your past mistakes shows that you are a human being who is willing to change for the best. You are a continuous work in progress and like what you said, there are many versions that exist within us. Every single day, we face a different ‘us’ but instead of rejecting them, we should learn to accept them. Ironically I learned that knowing our weaknesses are what actually makes us stronger. I think we are so afraid to welcome them because it makes us appear ‘vulnerable’. But I personally think that we have to make ourselves weaker in order for us to become stronger. We have to experience failure in order to succeed. We have to feel sadness in order to feel happy. We have to go through the darkest in order to see the light at the end of the tunnel. It's these dichotomies that make us who we are and we can't change the dynamics of the universe because both contrasting elements must exist in order for us to reach through a level of personal development. My mind is wandering a lot these days and I’m thankful that you share your insights with us because it has helped me put things into perspective. You inspire me to be a better version of myself and I wish I could express everything into words but unfortunately, they can’t suffice how extremely thankful I am that you are a part of my life. Thank you for being our voice when our voices couldn’t be heard. Thank you for nurturing our troubled minds and souls through the path of self-awareness and realization. Thank you for being our source of strength when we are close to giving up. Thank you for reminding us to love ourselves when self-loathing is about to tug us down. Thank you for advocating us to be just our ‘comfortable’ selves when society is about to repressed are individuality. Thank you for encouraging us to be kinder to ourselves when we feel invalidated and inadequate. Thank you for letting us see through our self-perception when self-deception is about to overcome us. But mostly, thank you for just being you. Just being you is enough for us to perceive the message that self-growth and self-love are the greatest gifts that we can offer to ourselves.
I can feel your words. I've been through depression, anxiety n suicidal thoughts too. Last half of 2018 was really tough for me. God knows I wanted to kill myself everyday! But I didn't cuz I couldn't. Every moment was a fight with myself to keep myself alive. I'm still not sure if I'm out of depression or not. I feel low n feel that sudden wave of sadness every now n then n I can't help but wonder if I'm out of it or not. Sometimes I think I am, sometimes I don't. Joon is such a beautiful human being. He's one of the most beautiful souls I've come across n I haven't come across a lot of such souls. He inspires me to become one too. He inspires me to work hard n chase my dreams. He inspires me to love myself when I can't seem to love myself at all. It has just been a few months since I knew him n he has brought such big changes in me. When I was trying to pull myself out of my depression, I was determined to become a better version of myself, n he fueled my determination, in fact added new things into it. I love him for that, n I'm thankful to him for that. He deserves all the beautiful things this universe has to offer. All of the BTS do. I mean it with all my heart n soul when I say it. And you don't worry. You're strong n you can go through this :) You come out of it much more stronger than you expect.
Who ever HATES RM tell me a reason why you hate him because he cares about his friends and try to win awards! When someone is in trouble RM is there for them!
I'm not surprised at the love he generates. How he can go from sweet, adorable baby boy to Sexy Daddy in the blink of an eye is still kind of a mystery. Maybe it has to do with his high-powered brain, but I think it MAY be due to emotions that he allows to come to his surface, without reservation.
