It’s not totally BS because you can do this with zip ties, I don’t know about tape but with zip ties you basically slam your arms down into your pelvis hard and your arms naturally pull outwards snapping the zip ties. Again dunno about the tape because they’ve clearly cut this 😂
Now you have to get out of where you are after you tear the already cut tape, or find out that the rope, cord, or chain they tied on you won't break. That's when we panic.

I dont even think that it works cause they literally cut the tape to lie to peoples, it could maybe still work since your applying a sudden strength on the tape but it wont be as easy trust me and might even fail
You can try keeping your wrists facing the same direction. It makes the surface area of your wrists larger so when you rotate them into each other your wrists take up less space which can slip through. I know it works for zip ties not sure about tape
You can see where they sliced the tape so it would rip easily while the pig counts down, if anyone believes this would work in a life or death situation it's just Darwinism
