This week my daughter wrote “fun facts” about herself, but spelled facts like it sounds “facks”. And her letter a was a little sloppy so it looked like a letter u. Fun times parenting a first grader right here!! She wasn’t sure why we were laughing. Loved this video, Steve! :)

At 13:16 the girl is saying “Xue” or “雪” which is Chinese for snow. Ni hao Kai Lin is a show teaching kids about Chinese culture. Just wanted to let you know :)

I haven't really watched any of these shows except a few bits and pieces. I do remember that Ni Hao kai lan was the Chinese dora the explorer, she went on adventures and taught kids Chinese. It's so crazy how clear some of these were, almost...on purpose 😱. Just kidding, could you imagine though. Awesome video as always, loved your laughs and reactions. Nihao Kailan is actually a show I grew up watching and I laughed so much when the TTS picked up the main character saying the S bomb. It made my day so much better, also happy mother's day to Mama T. Btw the Nihao Kai Lan's misheard lyric is Snow in Chinese

The lion one is Voltron and the character's name is Pidge. I haven't seen this version, but its an old 80's series that used to be awesome.

for "nihao kai-lan", its actually a word in chinese. that show was meant to teach kids a few words in chinese while following on her adventures. you wouldve had a hard time replacing it or thinking its something else because its actually not even in english.

My cousin used to watch Jake and the Neverland Pirates and got me, a then 13 year old, hooked on it. It was originally as a joke… 10 years later, and I completely forgot about it. The “Hey, you f____ing boy!” made me cry laughing. Same with Ni Hao Kailan. Died laughing at that too! Even better because of the fact it was actually proven true. It’s actually a word in Mandarin Chinese for snow.
