While Mario jumped around in Mario 64 and Zelda reached new heights with Ocarina of Time. Kirby 64 the Crystal Shards on the Nintendo 64 sticks to the same old 2d Kirby formula since 1992 with some flourishes provided by the 3d visuals. But is Kirby 64 just being that same old same old, a bad thing? Was Kirby still able to innovate with the 3d graphics while not abandoning its core design? AND WHY DOES HE HAVE A FLAMING SWORD? MISSILES? AND A GUN?????
