These folks really were playing the soundtrack of my life. When I htink of my Gen 2 soundtrack (post-Beatles post-60s post-AM Radio), these musicians littered so many of my favorite albums. I think it's easier to list my favorites WITHOUT them, in fact-! And Sklar's wonderful RU-vid channel has been a wonderful most-visit stop in my days.
When you mentioned that when all of you guys in the Immediate Family got together and realised that ' this was way too much fun ' Mr Sklar , I remembered what another legendary bassist - Rick Danko - said about the same situation ? He was talking about when musical friends would come by and they would start 'having fun ' ..... then continued to say ...and you know what happens when you have ' too much fun ' ? ( huge background laughs ) .Please keep on causing trouble and anarchy ! It's the only way to go .....
I'd love to see more of the round table chat between them all. I found that so interesting. The stories they can all tell about the people they've worked with!
From an uptempo rocker like Nobody Wants You followed by the sensitive ballad Fragile Heart, Skin in The Game has a diversity reflective of the 3 songwriters personalities. Thanks for having Leland back, “It’s only Rock&Roll but I Like It”.
