And the Mestizos who made up the bulk?? They were also European/white descendants, she acts like they were just Indigenous. “Spaniards born in Mexico”🤣 Dear, they are Mexicans by then
Ya she is setting that vibe I even rebuke my family when they act like here and we are all Mexican and white looking no Mexican is really full native only a small number are and some have more white blood. Than others aka Spaniard
Exactly I hate how liberals are trying to oust Europeans from their cultural heritage. There are parts of mexico such as Jalisco where you would be hard pressed to find anyone that even resembles a typical chollo, thats how White it is.
She's lying, 80% of all Mexicans in the territory now Texas was Spanish enthnically. It is a recen phenomenon of short brown and indigenous looking Mexicans that was on the last 40 50 years so those Mexicans in that territory where ethnically European Spaniards
Exactly, most Mexicans don’t identify with them, because they are almost a separate race than most of us, not just because they Indigenous, but because they’re a certain race of Indigenous
Like someone in comment section said. Some of us Mexicans are white because of our skin color. In jalisco where I come from, theres all white people. So, with that said, not all mexicans are brown indigenous people. I dont know what these peoples problem is
Some but not all . We are not talking about light skin castizos or mestizos . Also "white " is a anglo term not spaniard, spaniards didnt call themselves " white " .
@@jlopez4963 yeah and the natives didn't call themselves native or Mexican either. What tribe are you from? Also technically the " native Americans " are asian. Since Asia is where they originally came from. There is also a heavy resemblance between pure native Americans and the people from Mongolia.
That doesn’t mean you aren’t indigenous. Just because you’re ashamed doesn’t change the truth. The Aztecs were of all different shades, light, brown, dark. All of my family is from Jalisco and you couldn’t be more wrong. You have the “nopal” written all over your face. You can try and pass on as European but you’re not. Using colonial terms like “Latino/Hispanic” doesn’t make you greek, or Spanish. You and everyone else claiming those terms cannot change your DNA no matter how much you try and pass as white.
I don't understand how Mexican Americans like to deny their heritage. "White" is not something foreign or random to Mexican people. It's not pulled out of thin air. Hello it's part of the heritage girl. Get this people of Mexican heritage have you know what? Spanish blood and you know what that means? it's really "White" blood. The Spanish language is white, the catholic religion is white. Mexican people are closest to White DNA. Mexican people are scientifically and legally white. The American government labeled Mexican people "white". Are Mexican people Germanic white not so much, but do they fall in line with Italian, Greek, Romanian, Arab, etc. type of white YES!!! I'd bet the majority of Mexico has to some degree some Spanish/white DNA. STOP DENYING YOUR HERITAGE!! Be proud of your ancestors!!
@@ArieL_V- You're not understanding my point. I'm not denying the Mestizo part of it. What I'm saying is I'm tired of people of Mexican descent complaining about the Spanish. Like it or not the those boogeymen Spanish is part of what you are. Your last name is Valderramos so I think that probably is a Spanish surname. Mestizo means part native and SPANISH. So Mexican people should stop denying what they are and that means actually part white. In the grander general scheme there are only 3 real races in the world caucazoid, negroid and mongoloid so based on associating with the closest one of those Mexicans are closer to the white category. Even again the US government thought so too. In Mendez vs Westminster Judge McCormick ruled Mexicans are legally white. Unless you live in some remote village of Mexico or some jungle in Latin America you can still see the remnants of Spanish influence because not all Latinos for that matter are brown people. They are the darkest brown to the fairest white. Again my point is Mexicans, Latinos stop denying what you are, you are PART Spanish too, like it or not you have white blood in you!!!
@@newvibes789 yes we do have whyte blood some of us also have a bit of Arab and black that still doesn’t mean we’re those ethnicity. We are a mix, you don’t have the right to tell us what we are. Just because we are “closer” to whyte people doesn’t mean we’re whyte.
I totally disagree with her. I'm a white Mexican and could easily pass for white. I maneuver myself in this world to advance myself professionally and financially. It has definitely worked for me. I'm proud of being Mexican and I'm quietly winning 💪 👐🏻
My neighbors across from me are White Mexicans. Blonde hair/blue eyes with only the 2 kids speaking English. Maybe lose the bitterness from the past and move on
1970 my school papers said white. 1980 after Eric Estrada it said Hispanic. 2000 we have Latino. 2020 now generation latinx. I say, when I work in Midwest. I American and my heritage is Mexicano. 🇲🇽🇯🇵🇺🇸🏄🏽♂️🌊🌊🌊
The reason why you’re Brown is because you’re Native, brother. Is it so gdmm difficult to accept? Your Mexican blood is your Native Indigenous heritage. This is exhausting. SMH
@@Instead2 , and some others are 80/90% Native! There are over 20 million real 100% Indigenous American Peoples living in Mexico, speaking over 68 Native languages. Just so you know, I myself have Italian blood, but I identify as Native because that’s my way of showing solidarity with the Indigenous Peoples across the Americas! We Mexicans aren’t just mixed with Spaniards, we also have French, Portuguese, German, Arab, Black and Asian mixtures….but we will always be primordially, culturally, historically and genetically NATIVE INDIGENOUS AMERICANS.
They were regarded as white. That's why there were businesses where both mexicans and black people weren't allowed entrance. There were signs saying "No dogs , no negros, no mexicans" We were considered as white. That's why the USA decided not to take over Mexico after the Mexican American war. Because it would have been really hard to wipe out the mestizo population (You can look this up on the internet)
@@yomilala8929 They were in fact seen as white. Attempting to rewrite Texas history pretending that Mexicans were minorities is revisionism. In the 60s, it never crossed anybody's mind that Spanish people were a non-white minority group.
The lady in the video is correct. The US captured all the way down to Mexico Cit, but the US didn't want the people; Congress voted against annexing any more of Mexico because they didn't want more "colored" people. After the war, a massive lynching campaign went on against Mexicans because many did not want them (they wanted the land). Mexicans up until Mendez v Westminster were not allowed to go to White schools and instead were taught to be maids and farm helpers in their own public schools which were barns and shacks. Cali was the first to end it in Mendez which helped establish precedent for Brown vs Board of Ed. Basically, I don't think you know what you're talking about because none of the above demonstrates a people who ever "were actually regarded as white."
@@GoldenMean743*"Mexicans up until Mendez v Westminster were not allowed to go to White schools"* Mexicans always went to white schools before Mendez v. Westminster. That case was about just a few remedial schools in Orange County - elsewhere in CA Mexicans had never been in separate schools. *"were actually regarded as white."* Mexicans went to white schools, used white public facilities, drank from white waterfountains, didn't have to sit on the back of the bus, fought in the white units of the army, could marry white when intermarriage was illegal, etc. The generation that remembers all of this is still living.
@@Tritone Are you kidding? This happened all over the Southwest and in TX. But in CA, a primary source, a state survey in the 30s, shows that 85% of the state had Mexicans segregated. I'm supposed to take your word for it when we have primary sources? And you are right, I know we still have living generations. I spoke with Mendez and many others from the southwest who remembered how they were treated. I sat in a room at American University in DC and was able to ask questions.
Spanish culture originated in Spain, which is in Europe, and Europeans are white. - Spain colonized large parts of the Americas, bringing their culture and language. - Mexican culture is mainly influenced by Spain, including language, clothing, music, customs, and religion (Roman Catholicism), and architectural styles of old mexican cities and towns. - white/mixed/indigenous Mexicans claim victimhood despite the culture that they love so much has been heavily influenced by Spain, showing more similarities with Europeans than indigenous people.
Ya there was Spaniards born in California Texas etc during Spain 🇪🇸 rule and during Mexican rule the Anglos hated both groups mestizo and Spaniard groups cause they where all speaking Spanish and where chatholic
FYI all the Mexican that governed California Texas New Mexico etc where criollos they where Mexican. Born Spaniards who the white Anglos. Didn’t see as Ameican as well mestizos and criollos where Californiios together and when Mexico acquired these states in 1821 white Mexicans of Spaniard decent had all the power and wealth soo there was still racial issues even when these states that where part of Mexico in my opinion there was still a segregation between mestizo and full Spaniard Mexicans regardless of the mestizos who some times come out looking white I’m one of them Mexican government still whent by the caste system. And regardless of mw being able to blend in with Spaniard Mexican. My documents would show my blood mixture
So theoretically the country did not exist nor the civilization made up of living people. So like animals they had no right to the land they nurtured and lived off of. The comments here are bizarre.
Their are light skinned Mexicans that have Indigenous blood but can have more dominant European features like blue green eyes and blonde hair due to genetics
She’s asking for reparations. You know they gotta be everywhere in government, social media, Hollywood…The Little Mermaid, Black Superman, Balck Alexander the Great, Black Queen Elizabeth……all eyes on them. 🙄🪶🌵🌞🌶🦅🌽
Fr we were white in segregation because they needed slave workers in america no whites person wants to work hard without us America would fail let’s be real we will never be white the one percent rule tells you and our culture tells you white people don’t celebrate the dead and they don’t eat what we eat that’s why they make white versions of it to eat it they hate real Mexican food 😅☺️💀
Julissa - “first of all I came into this county legally on a plane so get your facts straight!!” Tucker - “ Ohh I thought you said that overstayed your visa on your bio” Julissa - “I did overstay my visa but I came in legally” Tucker - “ Ohh so you came into this country illegally that’s exactly what I said” Julissa - 😵💫
There's no such thing as race. Just culture and items.... that we apply to skin color because we are racist. Culture and citizenship shuld be for all humans to enjoy
No there not Black Latinos Are. Black Mexicans are Israelites. Aztecs worship False Gods and Would Sacrifice their Children. Don't run from the Truth. Hispanics are classified as White People. Fat Joe says Latinos helped with Hip Hop. When Latinos called hip Hop Jungle music. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Don't Contridict yourself. Because everytime the IUic Or Privileged Hispanics like You try that shit I'll always shut you up. Because I have a Whole of proof that Black and Brown Myth is a bunch of Bullshit.
