Brave was indeed a movie of all time it seems Actually that might be giving it too much credit...it was just a movie...not a horrible one but not a great one either! :/
@@Alienrun The sad thing is it still had potential at the beginning. It's funny cause Pixar trailers usually subvert your expectations for the better. Like I thought Incredibles would just be a goofy superhero comedy and got blown away in the theater.
@@maryjanechilds6138 I didn't see Incredibles in the theatre, but I did watch it when it was new after seeing some trailers as a kid...and did indeed have my expectations subverted for the better! Good times! They just don't make movies like this used to anymore... (Pixar anyways...I don't watch movies much these days so idk how good movies are nowadays (even just movies for kids!) lol :P)
This is actually spot-on. The false lead, everything. You forgot though, the parts that were there in the trailer but not the movie, and the parts that were changed in the trailer compared to the movie.
This happened to me with a movie called “White Noise (2022)”. I thought it was going to be a “sort of” comedy about a family evacuating their town. But the movies basically talks about death and some drugs that makes you calm
The movie trailer: we are the one…. the mystery… the fantasy….. The actual movie: 1 hour and 59 minutes of talking about politics and their life and 1 min of action ( the credits are better than the movie, and the action would be the credits )
This is just accurate. Ain’t no other way to describe it. Case in point: the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War. There were some scenarios presented in the trailer that were OBVIOUSLY NOT in the actual movie itself or did not go a certain way like how it did in the trailer. But if there is one part that will ALWAYS stand out in my mind every time I think of or watch the trailer, it’s the cut scene where Cap, Widow, Falcon, HULK-I feel I needed to emphasize that, because the Hulk himself was only in the opening scene of the film!-Bucky, Panther, and the rest of the entire Wakandan Army were charging presumably towards Thanos. But then, that wasn’t in the movie at all! I mean, the movie was still awesome, but the number of “what could have beens” for that movie and the entire MCU in general is interesting and vast. Great work! 👍🏻👍🏻
Sometimes those things can be a welcome surprise, because you want to get the idea of the movie without feeling like you've already seen it through the trailers. But then there are times like the Halo 5 marketing that made the final product feel lame in comparison and didn't have the general theme of the marketing campaign.
Literally Godzilla 2014. The trailers made it look like Godzilla was the villain and most of the destruction was done by him. But then you watch the movie and Godzilla is the good guy and the mutos where the villains and the ones who did most of the destruction. Godzilla did destroy things but only when he was heading to fight the mutos.
This was kind of like the Encanto trailer (the movie still turned out good and it was the same as the trailer but a lot of the scenes in the trailer were just in the character’s songs and it actually didn’t happen so that left me a little bit disappointed)
SpongeBob SquarePants Sponge out of water pulled this crap. All the commercials were scenes with them already out of the water making you think the whole movie was going to be the SpongeBob cast coming to and interacting with people on the surface. But you spend half the movie with them still underwater and then when it gets to the part with them above water they just spend all their time above water fighting one guy and go back under. The movie was a let down.
Halloween ends trailer: Focuses on laurie and Michael😎 The movie: focuses on a kid that has zero percent experience of the franchise while michael is in the background till the end of the film. 💀
this is pretty much how everyone who saw 'Jarhead' felt the trailer promises something like 'Police Academy' when it's really just a day in the life of US soldiers in training that isn't really exciting or funny.. I mean if you want to know what it's like if you're interested in enlisting, ok but if it's actual entertainment you're after, you're #SOL
And then when a person is screaming in the trailer, they are screaming in the movie because they were taking a dump and trying to push it out in the toilet
It's the slender man movie. as a kid i thought it was gonna be about some teenagers going to the forest after some incidents of people going missing but in the actual movie it's about some random teenagers who are braindead summoning slenderman
This happened me when Disney Soul come out , the trailer was a bit goofy like with an character dancing reminding to inside out but actually the movie is really deep and very different to the trailers in a good way
