I realise the difficulty a European might face living in a tropical country. The mosquito nets is a permanent disability. We don't need nets in day as mosquito doesn't sit much on moving bodies. But in night one needs it even if live in plush 7 star home unless of course mosquito repellent is ok despite air or sound pollution they cause. English people even if they came for money or looting definitely made sacrifices. Therefore they used to rush their families to cool Himalyan mosquito free towns. Many died due JARRIYA ( Malaria) like Lord Cornwallis of American fame.
