Nezuko knew the sun would harm her from the beginning. In season one, episode two, when Tanjiro returns from his search for materials to build Nezuko a box, she was hiding in a hole deep in a cave.

This is easily one of the most heartwarming scenes in the show. After making a sacrifice to slay Hantengu, poor Tanjiro thought Nezuko was done for just to see her greeting him with a warm “Good Morning”. 🥹

If Nezuko turn into demon and the sunlight burn them and Nezuko died and she back turn into human because that sunlight just burn the demon but not the human so that's why Nezuko turn into human;)
