I saw an interview of Nicki where, at one point, the interviewer asks her why she doesn't have her nails "done" anymore. And they had the camera zoom in on her regular natural nails. With no hesitation or thought she said "well after I had my baby I stopped getting long nails regularly. I don't wanna poke my little pumpkin pie". That told me so much about her.
They sold out! When Nicki said “ Oh my god” she had a little voice crack, you could tell she really loved babies and wanted to be a mom real bad and now that she is I’m very happy for her!

When I first heard that, I immediately pictured the mamas heart dropping, wondering if she will be in trouble or reprimanded, having no idea Nicki was going to react like this. After this day, all babies were allowed at work 😊 Actually, I *wish* employers offered child care more often... they would absolutely have more "stay at home" moms, working. Trying to find and afford (and trust) someone to care for your child is not easy. Accessible childcare through employers (and not just 6 figure job) would be a game changer.
She was waiting for them to ask "would you like to hold him" but she couldn't wait. That is the cutest thing ever. My daughter is obsessed with Nicki. I never really listened to or thought much of her until my daughter showed interest and I can't believe what a gem I was missing out on for so long.

I like the fact that even though she is famous she had enough respect to ask if she can hold the baby. One day I was on the bus with my daughter. I believe she was 3 at the time. As I was getting off this lady grabbed my daughters arm. I had to threaten her and pry her hand off my daughter because she wouldnt let go. I'm like wtf. You just dont go grabbing people's kids like that. This lady was just all the way crazy. I almost punched but people were defending me also and she tried to argue with them. I just hurry up and got my child off that bus. People dont go grabbing folks kids . That's creepy and that's how you get hurt.

Massive respect and admiration for Nicki, not least of all because she took a teenaged hater (when she first rocked up on the scene about 11 years ago... Well mainstream that is!) who judged her pretty quickly, and she's proven on more than one occasion to (at least from what I can see) have a genuine, good heart whilst managing to be fiercely intelligent, eloquent and assertive. She's awesome
She has so many videos where you really see who she really is at her core & I love that for her cause the other gworls don’t be having that most times.
