Wow!! Just wow!! It's wonderful to see the innocence team gave him his life back. I am glad he got compensated too. Truly happy for him, his family and friends.

A huge thank you to these wonderful people that free people from jail when they truly are innocent. The reason the courts don't want to help people is that they are so afraid of having a law suit to pay for their mistakes!!! Degusting!!!

To exonerate is to prove the crime was for the benifits of the state. To Excolpate is to show the condemned is not a culprit. That means no crime was attributable to that person. being punished.

For all of the bullshit damage awards that are given out, I can’t understand why a guy that was proven beyond any doubt to have been framed by a police officer wasn’t immediately approached with a settlement to get him back on his feet. For him to languish as long as he did after being exonerated was another crime altogether.
@markdandeneau2904
@markdandeneau2904 2 года назад
Probably there is only a single settlement and an earlier payment would have been much less than he got after the actual conviction of Epps.

What a wonderful story about a wonderful man, eighteen years is a long time to be punished for something you never did. I hope that he lives a very,very long and happy life and I hope that the cop that lied and framed him suffers a long time in prison. Thank you to the Innocence Project for helping free wrongfully sentenced people from prison.❤️👍🏻👏🏼😍😁🥰👵🏻🇺🇸

It's shameful that he had to fight for years for compensation and the support he needed. People like this deserve immediate support, financial, health, and support. They also should compensate groups like the Innocence Project. We also need to improve defense for the accused before they're locked up. I'm constantly reading about cases where someone was found to be innocent and their own defense lawyers pushed them to plead guilty or they're so overworked they can't do anything for them.

All The Crime Stories I've watched, I enjoyed. But this story by far is the best I have ever seen! It was heart renching, for a wicked law enforcement to wreck innocent people lives just because he could. What goes around got to come back round.. And to have him end up in jail was more than a bonus for Barry.. Was so Happy for that Special Team of Lawyers / Friends/ Family and The God Send.. They were like truly Beautiful Family to these Hurt People. Vanessa and crew and Oh My Gosh her little sister! What a great reunion for Barry, he really needed all the LOVE ❤ he got from them and not forgetting his Best Friend 👍. Love a Happy Ending 😊 🙏.
@JustAlanJohn

I remember Jeanine Ferris Pirro saying that 10% of people in jail should not be in jail due to the fact that 5% are innocent and the other 5% had bad legal representation. Wishing Barry all the best and he got true justice 🙏
@StefanMedici
@StefanMedici 2 года назад
This is brutal. I'm not sure I could recover like Barry has, I probably would have just ended it quickly. What did my head was the brief mention of the number of death row inmates proven innocent. Innocence shouldn't need to be proven, guilt should, and picturing they'd been killed before being exonerated.

Absolutely tragic that he lost two decades of his life. He might've been married, had kids, helped someone etc. Hopefully his time there has helped others. So tragic and what a BLESSING to have the Innocence Project!!! The police dept/city absolutely should have been required to give him millions as well as provide any psychological and/or physical health needs he may have. Also, "family" is often not something you are born into. The best family is the family that chooses you and is there for you. You can feel the hearts of the Innocence Project lawyers.

Parole boards don't want to hear that you're remorseful. They don't care if you're remorseful or not. They just want to make sure you agree not to try and dig anything else up about the case. Because if it's found they screwed up somewhere that's a payout to you. If you goon parole you have to admit to the crime and waive and right to sue even if new evidence is found.)

Why are these attorneys not demanding change and safeguards within the judicial process that would lessen if not stop innocent people being convicted . 1st ALL innocent people released from prison should be able to sue the state/city as well as any prosecutors that withhold evidence that would exonerate a person.... and any law enforcement agencies/officer that hid or planted evidence. 2nd DAs that are making under the table plea deals should be charged and convicted of a crime..... and ACTUALLY RECEIVE LENGTHY JAIL TIME ..... We as a society have to demand change where the actual victims see justice and restitution.... Big Pharma- Big Corp- Corrupt Elites- Corrupt Cops-DAs and Judges... Corrupt Drs... I can keep going but the point is it time the corrupt system is burned to the ground.... and a new system put in place
