This is how I am EVERY SINGLE DAY with my 6 year old son! My little homie makes all lifes stresses disappear. Everyday I get off work I get the excitement of a kid on Christmas day when it's time to go pick him up from daycare. I'm gonna miss him when he's gone, but I do my best to live in and enjoy every moment I get with my best friend.
And the daughter does not even mind it. Her joy came from hearing how her daddy loves on his grandson. Then the love she sees and feels her son gave to her father. Paw Paw’s Baby❤
I have been trying to tell my son and his girlfriend about my grandson and they think I'm crazy bc the way I am with him!! I was the same with my other grandkids from my daughter his sister!!
I don't care how hard a man is. When he sees his granbabies, his eyes will light up and he starts talking like a baby with huge smile on his face. Priceless!

Aww... My dad was my kids PopPop. My daughter & son could fix any of his bad days. His favorite bumper sticker was "If I had known grandkids were this much fun, I would've skipped the kids." I sure miss my dad. Spoil that sweet PopPop every day you can!

You’re absolutely right! My dad bailed on me at 5 and even after having my own children and him meeting them, he didn’t care. Living grandparents is not always promised to some.

So true. I was my g-pa's favorite. My g-pa grew up in a time where saying ILY was forbidden as a man, but he made sure he showed all of us his love through actions, especially me. Any time I would call on Saturday or Sundays before our big Sunday dinners after church, I would ask for my favorite food or dessert and if he hadn't planned on making it no matter how soon dinner was he would stop everything to make whatever I asked and wouldn't allow anyone to touch it before I got the first serving of whatever and had enough of it.😂 I may have never heard him say I love you, but I ALWAYS felt it through his hugs and how he'd shown me and spent time with me.
Never had a chance to be with them my mom's dad my grandpa died when he reach 101 but I never really have a chance to know him as a kid, grandma died before I was born, my dad's dad also my grandpa also died even before my two big brothers were born, and there is 14 years between me and my brothers and I'm the youngest I'm not even close, my dad's mom died when I was little kid too but Ive never been with her to even know her as a grandson. Never really understand how it's like to be with them.
The baby was quietly taking it all in ...this is the way this man treats and cares about me ...these moments help build a person but I hard to catch a man at it .. I saw my brother in law kiss his son on the cheek...and I saw a teenage friend of a friend kiss his toddler son on the cheek.... I was blown away...it was beautiful ....

I cried. My father wasn't around because of drugs. He wasn't around my kids because of drugs. He just died a few months ago and I don't mourn him, but I mourn the relationship I always hoped for. I always prayed He would try to get clean and be a good father. Love and honor the people in your lives that show up and show love ❤️. God bless this family
That’s really sad. If there is a good point, it’s that you seem to have stopped the cycle and aren’t bringing drugs around your current family. When you have grandchildren, they will know you!
I can totally relate!! Seeing this brings me joy, evidence that great parents & grandparents exist. Reading the comments too. My peace is in knowing that I'm a great mom & my son has a great dad and stepdad.
He walked off with “his baby” like, “ok ma’am, you can go. I got what I needed.” 😂 I love this so much and smiled so big when he laid on his pop pop’s shoulder. And his grandpop voice…they were both instantly at home. 🖤🤍💙
