What's really surprising is how he could be living in LA in the '70s and somehow miss Born to Run and Darkness, considering Bruce toured both in LA and did those 2 radio b'cast shows from the Roxy as well. But it is true, Bruce was RARELY played on FM radio in those days; forget the first 2 albums, which weren't even played on NY radio because its DJs were pissed off at Mike Appel--and other than the song BTR in '75, which only reached to #18 on the Top 100, barely anything from Darkness made it to the radio. So one can understand Rob Lowe NOT being aware of Bruce until the NN film!
