He wasn't very fast like Neymar that was his only downside, if he had that he would be the best ever. Neymar scores more goals because of his speed, but Ronaldinho is a better player overall, more raw talent.
This team was destined to be great. They did this with Giuly who took Messi's spot once LM fell injured vs Chelsea. Messi-R10-Eto'o had so much chemistry and it would have been so enjoyable to watch.
No it was not. It was a mediocre show. Not even his best game against Milan. I remember a game against Milan where he scored the best CL game of his career. Rivaldo scored a hat trick past Milan, Zidane destroyed them in 02/03 with a masterclass (so to did Raul). This performance was nowhere near that level.
@@user-cc3no2gg6d what's the bullshit please? Rivaldo scored a hat trick past them - incredible one man show. Raul scored a clinical brace past them -2 excellent goals - and they won the CL that season. Zinedine Zidane in that same Raul game was just sensational - his passing and creation/contributions to both of the goals was something surreal. Ronaldinho in this game is good but not as good as those 3 were.
Yep..prime dinho no one was able to do anything to stop him..like he destroyed mourinho's chelsea even better than this..he was so creative, skilfull just overall genius on the pitch..People talk about messi when the only thing to stop him you needed was physical teams/players..messi of course is a great too but his game is very simple..prime ronaldinho vs prime messi..it's not even close..no matter what you put against prime dinho there was nothing you could do to stop him..
Nobody says it, but the return game in Barcelona, AC dominated and Shevchenko scored a regular goal the ref incredibily disallowed. Having said that, Ronaldinho in his prime was simply unstoppable even for Malduni / Stam / Cafu / Gattuso / Pirlo / Shevchenko / Inzaghi (what a freaking team!!!), they could only contain him hoping he'd make a mistake. What a time to be alive!
Great finish by Giuly who was a great player and gets forgotten nowadays. Was a star for Monaco too when they got to CL final in 2004 but lost when he wasn't able to play in the final.
Back then, Eurosport still had the "Champions League Happy Hour" which broadcasted about one hour of the best games late at night. I remember watching this on my little TV as a kid during holidays, being speechless. Next morning, we went to play football first thing 'cause we wanted to be able to do what Ronaldinho had done in this game. Well, needless to say, we couldn't 😂 But to this day, I have not forgotten how that match impressed me that night.
I don't think most people understand what he did at 1:47. The reflexes and passing in that situation he pulled off is unbelievable. It deserves a replay especially for that second pass at 1:49 to evade that sliding challenge. I mean, what an unbelievable player... My favourite moment though has to be the dink over Pirlo at 4:07. It's not even possible to explain to someone who hasn't played football how crazy that was because he makes it look like the simplest fucking thing in the world. But he executed it to perfection man, and had the balls and capability to do that in this game, a UCL knockout match against one of the best teams to have ever existed. It's just unreal man, it's just fucking unreal. I can keep watching this man's highlight reels every goddamn day and it never gets old.
the fact that ronaldinho stayed his ground to keep 2 defenders on him while pointing out that one completely free player on the flank to eto was even more crazier. one of the best vision and IQ in the history of the sport 😱
@@Al-ji4gd no what I'm saying is that Milan's defence keeps cornering dinho and he had some hard time to find a way to pass or to dribble through their defence but he keeps losing the ball against these guys and he had some hard time to create a strategy against these guys
Billion euro Milan team😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 They have never spent more that 50 million on a player. It was an excellent team but a billion was a ridiculous number only 20 years ago
The 2 most entertaining ballers in the history of the game! R10 - Hip Hop dancer of the game Zizou 10 - Classical dancer of the game Two of the Greatest Artists !
Things he showed will never be repeated, there will be players who will dribble past defenders, there will be players who will make sublime passes, there will be players who will shoot cannons, but the way Ronaldinho do it, the way Dinho showboat, I doubt a player will ever replicate his show... No player will ever able to replicate this fun way of play. Dinho plays football and people watch it like a magician's performance.
I think Messi is a better player because he performed at top level for so long but if you compare Dinho and Messi on their best games or their top season (Ronaldinho didn't have that many), I would say I prefer the Brazilian because he did it so effortlessly. It was a game for him, not a sport.
They literally had to get maldini down there just because of "that one Brazilian magician" dancing with the fucking ball for the whole goddamn game straight... What a player man...visca barça
"toying".. he loses about 50% the ball of this video... this is not toying, this is failing. Cristiano wouldn't do this and can do all the tricks here... difference, big difference as Ibra would say!
The thing about Messi is that he remained a baller while also scoring and assisting alot. Ronaldo also partially due to his injury started transitioning into a goalscoring machine and less of the flair. This is a trend in the age of managers decide tactics and less room generally for player expression (as well as european players having less of a "street football" growing up) messi still has that baller dribbling that people from that age had more commonly at the highest lv.
nobody really talks about how slow he was lol y’all peeped how he tried to run away from a heavy legged seedorf but barely could lol maybe he was tired too
Funny because it was a perfectly good shevchenko goal that was ruled as a foul on puyol that sent barca to the final. Milan should have reached final that yr
Messi and Ronaldo is wayyy efficient than him, many current player is also wayy efficient than him but he's football. My man just juggling the ball through the best defence team in the history lol
