I use ADS regularly in Vandal and Guardian, it's specially good to hold angles, you are already static anyway so why not have extra precision and a larger target to hit, it's a great mechanic for holding sites, angles, or holding long angles as well.

I came from val to Cod about 8 months ago, and typically i have been a big fan of ADS'ing. Treat your rifle like a budget operator for LOS such as C on Haven, A or C on Lotus and more. I've manage to climb from Bronze to Diamond in that time, with Valorant being my first ever KB&M input FPS. Kudos for the breakdown and speaking of the advantages of ADS'ing - some of the egos in Diamond/Ascendant would benefit from this massively haha.

I ADS when I want to hit my shots precisely, with the first burst. ADS seems trivial in lower ranks because you will want to reposition yourself quickly to dodge the enemy's shots. When players get better they tend to their first shot more often, so ADS will give you a better advantage when holding off-angles.

Because the first few videos I watched when I was starting were from fishychair the guardian guy, I kinda just started using ads anyway. Especially because Guardian has the 0 deviation. I also use bulldog a lot and the 3 shot burst makes it possible to hit multiple headshots in 1 click. Plus in real life hipfire isn't something I've ever done. I'm either looking doen the sights or I'm shooting something that's not directly in front of me because I have no time to turn. But lots of real life stuff is terrible in valorant anyway so it's okay in the game I guess. Never use it on the stinger, that's just a bad idea. Use it on the machine guns, it works great on the Ares, I don't get to use the odin that much so I'm not sure. I use it a lot on the guardian to kill odin users. There's no time to spray them down or deal with inaccuracy against Odins, gotta 1 tap, so if wn opponent is repeatedly using an Odin I'll start using the guardian to 1 tap them. Then maybe I'll get to use an Odin by taking theirs.

This comment was before watching so might have mentioned it, but I will say it anyway since I do primarily use this gun: the Guardian is the best way to learn how to effectively use ADS. Much of its aim is into your hands as it has ZERO first shot deviation alongside a 1.5 zoom instead of Vandal/Phantom’s 1.25 zoom. General ADS tips that translate into Vandal/Phantom is to use it to hold angles or in long range engagements with easy cover. As much as it seems helpful, you may not want make big strafes when ADSing, at least until you get used to the decreased movement and zoom. Think of it like using a sniper rifle and you will likely be composed enough to land those headshots (if rng doesn’t screw you over (but guardian never screws you over (guardian propaganda))).

Now, I don't know how it is on PC, but for all my console players, you can turn off walking in ADS and focus mode (I straight up have the focus mode disabled, so I can either hip fire or ADS)

Konpeki, I feel like my skills are fading, like I am immortal 1 but day by day my aim is getting worse (also missing easy shots) , recently I started doubting my gameplay and like "what should be my mouse grip ?" and more. You say every gun in the game have better first bullet accuracy when ads, except for the bulldog, what about the stingers 4 round burst ads mode? is it still more accuracy than not scoping it?

It applies to the bulldog too. The menu just lies. Bulldog goes from 0.3 to 0.1 first bullet spread :) Also, if you take into account the area instead of the radius/diameter, it's much more than the stated reduction looks like. Area goes up with the square. So vandal going from 2.5->1.57 is more like 6.25->2.46

Why is nobody talking about the Odin? It's clearly the superior gun to both the phantom and vandal. Far more val content should be talking about how to use and abuse it, as opposed to pretending like these overrated rifles are the only options in game.
