Today we compare the Kubota BX to the Kubota B01 series. We look at some of the key differences and considerations to make when picking to right Kubota model for you! B&T MacFarlane Ottawa LTD. 45 Slack Road, Nepean On. 613-225-0555
Hey Jack, great video. I picked the B2601 as the perfect size for my 6 acres. We have about an acre for the homestead plus 3 or 4 acres of forests and a couple acres of meadow. A BX might have done well, but we have a lot of hills and I wanted enough power to move logs and loads up and down those hills. But I didn't want to go any bigger than the B2601 because of stability on those hills. For me, it's perfect.
Hi there, the BX series tractor is more than adequate for 5 acres or less. Also, it is very good in the bush because you can maneuver in tight places much better than any other size tractor. Ground clearance overall is not that bad. The one thing you mentioned was the lower lift capacity of the BX and your right but it is not often that you would need more and no matter what size tractor you have there is never enough. Speaking from 6 years of experience with a BX and many more years with larger tractors.
You talk about lawn mowing vs. going out into the woods , but I have a mower , and a bigger loader to go out in the woods . What I want to compare is for a small market garden , a starter tractor with out a need to upgrade as the garden grows
We had the good fortune of borrowing a BX23S this summer and immediately the lack of clearance was a compromise for us. Also didn't have a need for the backhoe. So we bought a B2401DT instead. We have about 3 acres to brush-hog plus some forest to log and trails to build.
My BX2380 is the perfect size for my property, love my BX 👍🏻. I haven’t seen a lot RU-vidrs with the B2601 with a backhoe, thanks for the info. Have a great weekend 🙋🏼♂️🙂👍🏻
Great video Jack ! 🙂 Makes me want to win the 6/49 and trade up ! I love these new videos coming on a Friday, it's a nice end to my work week. Thanks for all the info !
Thank you for explaining the differences, I am happy you recommend the BX23s to me! And couldn't be happier with it. Unless there was a cab floating around the yard for me! Haha! Does the B line have downward pressure on the 3pt hitch?
BX23s is a beast for its size! Like David said we don't start seeing down pressure until we get into some bigger AG tractors. Thanks for watching and the support!
I have B2601 60" MMM on 1/3 of a acre. My wife wouldn't ok the BX1880 she was afraid it was too small and would need to trade in. 3 years old next early next month and have 165 hrs on it , its never been on a trailer I just do projects within 1/4 mile or so from home. I've cut 40 face cord or so firewood on neighbors low land. His L2501 sinks where the B with turf tires more floats 😀
I'd say anything over 2 acres You'll want the bigger B series tractor Im on 15 acres, the LX2610 works great for cutting some pasture, skidding some logs, moving firewood, Snowblowing the yard!
