Running the game on the servers is the proper way to do it. Edit 1:06: These aren't issues that are caused by the client-server connection, they're caused by the client sending the wrong information period. Even if it was all in the client, the bug would still happen. Also if everything was in the client, anybody could give themselves infinite gold without anything checking if it's correct, unlike with a server which requires 100x more work to get into.

When someone says Velkoz is broken champ. 😂 Basically a champ you can go 100-0 and still lose to every single bruiser or assasin if they get close to you. I believe basic movement speed buff would do a lot to make it playable again, not increasing any scaling on spells needed.

Actually I would assume generally the league client server setup is better from a development setup than just client, because it makes it harder to cheat. If all data is client based, then that would mean a cheater would be able to entirely remove the fog of war/edit their abilities to be longer, deal more damage, etc.

Client and the server is always the set up even in DOTA. There's no client + server unless you're directly using the server PC. Your PC will always download the client files no matter what.
