If darts isn't a sport, then neither are chess, curling, snooker, pool, bowls, bowling, cricket, golf and a ton of other sports that rely on mental and / or fine motor skills.
@@TheDartKid180 Olympic shooting and archery , which require less physical movement, but are way more expensive and exclusive are sports and darts isn't? No argument from me.
Sport definition is a match or game played against 2 or more opponents. Even chess is a sport because it uses the biggest muscle, the brain. Break dancing in the Olympics is a joke, that's scoring based on judges and bias, not solidly on a dartboard.
So, by that definition, Scrabble is a sport? Monopoly is a sport? Cluedo is a sport etc…..? And, you are saying that darts isn’t a sport as it’s only played against one opponent? But you say chess is, even though it’s also played against one opponent? Confused here with the point you’re trying to make as you’re, basically, saying any individual sport isn’t a sport with the exception of chess? 😂
I play basketball and darts as my favorite sports. Basketball is more physical and its not even close. Darts requires constant mental focus which at the pro level with 3-4 hours a day practice can get pretty exhausting. After almost 10 years playing darts I still only average around 60. All that to say you cant really compare darts to many other sports, but it is a sport.
I don’t think darts has ever been in any debate regarding being very physical. But I think a lot of people don’t realise how hard darts really is and how much stamina you actually need to compete. So yeah 100% agree with you mate
I get knackered playing darts every single time after about an hour or so.😂😂😂 I don't know how the pros do it for so long at such a high level especially some of the older guys it's phenomenonal to watch
