Kinda impressed that EXE gained enough traction to be officially acknowledged by the main heads of the franchise. I think the only other time this happened was when Spongebob had that one episode that referenced the Squidward's Suicide creepypasta.

Part of me wishes Sega would make a Sonic game with Sonic.exe in it either as an antagonist, playable character, or simply an Easter egg. I know that’s pretty unrealistic, but it would be cool.

This is not the only creepypasta to become canon, Squidward's Suicide (aka Red Mist) also happened the same in the episode "Spongebob in Randomland" where Squidward opens each doors.

It was unsettling but not as creepy as people made it out to be, also for me it was kinda funny since i played and completed Sonic R wayyyyy before even reading the creepypasta
When i think of the song that gets me the "its finally fucking over..." or more depressed vibes is the shadow the hedgehog's final story's credits piano solo of i am all of me. I was strugling a lot with my life, it felt like fucking old snake going through places to places killing your brother not for justice, nor for revenge and losing a lot of people that he both loved and hated including his own father and liquid snake by his own hands... and after all of that. Its over, then hearing this music... man... its fucking over there is nothing else.
Funfact: In one of the episodes of TailsTube, Tails mentions how the multiverse exists in the sonic world, in which he also points out that there are many “variations” of Sonic
Sonic.EXE isn't canon, they're just admiring a popular fan-made media, like they did in the Sonic Movie with Sanic. (Tails Doll wasn't originally a creepypasta)
Fun fact: there is a glitch in sonic 3 where sonic eyes will be black and red and is gloves turn red, some people think the idea of sonic.EXE came from that glitch
I remember asking in a sega live stream if Sanic was canon cuz he was a Easter egg in sonic forces and that when they said “everything is Canon” so maybe that where that phrase originally came from idk tho would be pretty cool.
Seeing FNF sprites of sonic.exe, red mist squidward and mouse.avi being used as illustration in videos talking about them is just a guilty pleasure of mine
Imagine if they made a game out of this guy. Like official. Like maybe tone it down a bit and make him an all powerful clone. And he just chose to look like Sonic to trick everyone around him.
there's also another example of Sonic.exe being canon The official Roblox game, Sonic Speed Simulator did a collab with a FNF fan game, Funky Friday to promote Sonic Prime and in the game, some of the songs are from the vs. Sonic.exe mod
I like how the FNF version of Sonic. Exe is used even though he's not an FNF character. FNF is gonna be the only thing that people will remember him from.
I'm sure somehow the creators think that : "oh cool it's my game but scary!! Neat" Probably the reason why they didn't do anything to stop the exe but that's not most likely the thing is.
I like to think given the tails tube about the multiverse that there’s a multiverse where sonic.exe exist but he doesn’t want to destroy any other world and is fine with his world

Ever played sonic exe the disaster on roblox before? Basically you can play as different characters with their own abilitys you need to use these abilities wisely and survive the exes and once the timer hits 80 seconds a escape ring spawns and you need to jump into it to get to safety
