Infact I find Kannada words similar to Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. But not similar Tamil and Telugu or Telugu and Malayalam words. Kannada also has an ancient version found to be as old as Tamil. I’ve had a North Indian completely deny Tamil is older than Sanskrit coz all the Shlokas chanted are in Sanskrit. Learning Hindi is not rocket science. As a south Indian, I will give first priority to my mother tongue because of my mother tongue. I will give second priority to English because of the job opportunities and career growth. That's why south Indians give last priority to hindi.
