I'm rubbish at witnessing to people, but when I have said something I think it's like telling someone in a burning building where the fire exit is and the opposite way to the fire! I could do with a lot more courage to witness!

Jesus told people to their faces all the time that they were sinners. People who never read the bible at all just want to ignore that point and just want to hear the "love" part. You absolutely can and should call out sin because that is in fact love.

Todd Friel is very good at what he does. He says often about the name of their ministry “I am the wretched the song is about”, figuratively speaking. The gospel is all about how we, wretches all, are offered a magnificent gift by God. Amen and amen.

I understand the point she is making which was to "Love thy neighbor." The fact is she bases her understanding of love thy neighbor from an anti-biblical perspective. When someone understands how fallen we are along with believing in the love, mercy, justice, wrath, and forgiveness of God demonstrated in His Only Son Christ Jesus on the cross and His resurrection, we find salvation in Him alone.

She was not judging she was accusing - a satanic tactic. Revelation 12:10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.

Well... what happened to the self-righteous girl who thought she would brilliantly demolish street preachers' beliefs and words when he started to address her accusations? I noticed she was nowhere in sight when he was talking. I guess the whole and actual truth is way too agonizing for this unbeliever to endure.

NO, Jesus never said "Judge not." That is a mistranslation found in every Bible I know. The Greek has TWO words that are translated "no". Ou is the absolute no, as in " no means no". Mei is harder to translate. It is a CONDITIONAL no. It means something like "do as little as possible, be careful if you do this" The best translation I know for mei is " Danger Will Robinson, danger!" :) I find mei easy to remember because another possible translation would be "meibe be cautious foing tgat". So mei is more like maybe than no. The context makes this clear fortunately. The danger is explained as "because by the same standard ". Judge carefully and as little as possible would be the right translation. There's not always a direct word to word translation possible and this is an excellent example where translations makevit easy to wrench 2 words out of context.

He FIRST should have corrected her lies about what Jesus and the Bible says. He then makes his next error by putting himself into the sinner's side. This is a terrible example of "street preaching".

Notice how Satan is able to twist the word of God and corrupt it. The lady is doing the same by using the word love thy neighbor and at the same time finger pointing. Satan loves to come in with the word of God and then twisted it for his own purpose. We should not fall for Satan's trick. Satan uses the same tactic against Jesus when he tempts Jesus's flesh, pride and loyalty. We should not give into the deceptive word of Satan but rather use the truth to debunk the lies and manipulation.

I hear you Colin. For me, my favorite thing is when people who neither know nor believe in CHRIST go and rant and lecture Christians about who GOD is and what HE would do... Todd called her out on hypocrisy and THEN turned it around not to attack her and fall into the trap of self-righteousness, but turned it around to preach the Gospel! I love it! NO not just hypocritical judgement but he is saying if you judge you had better judge yourself as well to see if you are doing right with the right motive because we sometimes can think we are judging rightly but are wrong. So we judge not at all but use the word of God in the Bible to make those judgements for us.

I don't really think Street Preaching saves anybody, but Todd was absolutely right. What saves people, are more Sunday Schools, videos like yours Colin, Vacation Bible Schools, and consistent ministry. Like, Street Preaching is sort of a one night stand, that nobody really feels that great about afterward. I'm not saying it should be stopped, as it's a barometer of how free we are... but I don't think it saves a whole lot of people. Really, what saves people is Sunday School. That's where most of the heavy lifting is done.

Let's be fair about Mega Churches and or Christians...Some give, and some probably don't. It's likely a hit or mis in some degrees...Me, I'd honestly love to see Mega Churches let the homeless stay there and feed them and or create the lounge area for them. Instead i always seem to hear about Preachers exclaiming how nice ir would be to get a new roof or a fancy wooden door instead of sliding glass doors etc etc...Don't argue to something I've obviously seen through observation......But this reasoning shouldn't stop the preachers from preaching, it should inspire the preachers to live within all the aspects that Jesus taught. For instance Jesus didn't teach Superstar Christianity like Steven Furtick. Jesus taught more of a giving/socialism ideology, but many conservative Christians run and hide from this inner fear and awareness lol....I seei them run away and hide these ideals of Jesus while boasting in their own heart about the luxury and desires of their capital gains 😳🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

One thing that is so misused is the phrase “Don't you judge me”. Why is it when followers of God tell someone that homosexuality, trans, etc. is wrong we are automatically accused of “judging” that person, “throwing the first stone”. Then I/we are accused of “judging” and told not to judge. God is the only one who has the power to condemn someone to hell for punishment. Telling people when they are wrong is not condemning or damning a person to eternal punishment, we are simply repeating what God says in his word. I have been told many times "don't you judge me!" then they remind me of the woman who was about to be stoned to death by the crowd for committing adultery. People don't continue with the whole story, they only use the part that makes them feel justified in their sin. Judgement in John 8:7-11 actually means to condemn and punish. Only God can condemn someone to hell, we do not have that power but we are to warn people of God's judgement and the consequences of their actions. We are also told in James 4:17 that if we see wrong being done and we know the right thing to do but do nothing, for us it's sin. The crowd was trying to trap Jesus, he knew this. Jewish law in that day said that both parties committing adultery should be stoned or put to death and not just the woman. I think that's what Jesus wrote in the dirt, the law and punishment regarding adultery. Lastly, Jesus told the woman to go in peace but: SIN NO MORE. Besides, it's better to be judged by human's or even the courts, than to be judged by God. There were also Pharisees and Sageses among the crowd and they were constantly trying to trap Jesus and he knew what they were up to. Truth is an aspect of the nature of God himself. Thus, to put on truth is to put on Christ. For Christ is "truth" (John 14:6), and as Christians we are to be the bearers of truth. We are told to warn people of their wrongs. Acts 17:1 - Not only is judging permissible, it is our responsibility. Nobody's teachings are above sound judgment, especially those of influential leaders! Biblically, authority and accountability go hand in hand (Luke 12:48). The greater the responsibility one holds, the greater the accountability (James 3:1).First, the precedent for making right judgments comes from Scripture itself. In the Old Testament the Israelites were commanded to practice sound judgment by thoroughly testing the teachings of their leaders (Deuteronomy 13). Similarly, in the New Testament, the apostle Paul commands the Thessalonians to test all things and to hold fast to that which is good (1 Thessalonians 5:21-22). Moreover, Paul applauds the Bereans for testing his teachings (Acts 17:11Furthermore, while our Lord cautioned followers not to judge self-righteously (Matthew 7:1-5), he also counseled them to make judgments based on right standards (John 7:24). In the context of his often misquoted command “Judge not, or you too will be judged,” Jesus exhorts us to judge false prophets, whose teachings and behavior lead people astray (Matthew 7:15-20). While we are commanded to not judge hypocritically or contradictally, we are nevertheless called to judge. The Bereans (modern day northern Greece) were a unique people with a strong desire to follow God's truth. They combined genuine character with zeal to lead and live by example. They also studied God's word on a dailly basis. Keep in mind, Ezekiel 33:7-8 says if you see people in danger and you do not warn them, then you will be held responsible for any lives lost.

Wretched? A Baptist? Hmmm how does one become a true Born-again Christian? They truly repent of the sin and unrighteousness in their life. They believe and have faith in what Jesus did for them on Calvary. He shed his blood for them, his blood washes away their sin and unrighteousness. He died for them, he went to the grave and to Hell and abode there for three days and nights. He rose up triumphant over death, Hell and the grave, and has the keys to Hell and death, and sits at the right hand of God the Father in Heaven. Then as one grows in the knowledge of God's word, one will be Water-Baptised in the name of the Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit. Then as one continues to grow in the knowledge of God's word, one will ask for and receive the Baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. Now if Mr. McArthur or Wretched do not agree with this truth, then both are not true Christians and their ministries are fake to the core.

And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgement than for that city! Matthew 10: 14- 15

Her problem is she only sees the "social gospel" as "real Christianity". She is gaslighting because you can bet she wasn't doing any of that she listed for others herself. I know that kind of atheist all too well. I had one insult me and complain about "what is happening in this part of the world.. and in that part of the country.." I asked him how many trips did he take to help the homeless? How many shelters did he help serve meals at? How many countries did he go to to help victims of human trafficking like my church has? He shut up and I never heard a word from him again.

Very often the church is not a safe and supportive place. Just look at the kind of leadership. And this isn't an unusual case. This is common. It's everywhere. They deny the power to live holy. The power given by the Holy Spirit is to confess your sins, live holy and to love and bear the fruit of the Spirit. It's not power to laugh and shake, speak gibberish and swoon. If you don't confess your sins to Jesus, purify your hear heart, bear the fruit of the Spirit, and live holy, then you are denying the power thereof. 2 Timothy 3 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Some places arrest you for feeding homeless people now. Christs words-"Go onto the world and preach the gospel to all." So, he is doing what God commanded him. Sinners do not want anyone pointing out sin. They would rather live in darkness.

Eternal judgment is given only to Jesus. Beyond that you "will" know a tree by it's fruit. And that requires observation. Great opening line Romans 3:23 " For all" have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Btw Love is the universal language; I have found people can tell real quick if you really love them and care about them. My question to everyone here what would Jesus do? Do you think Jesus would lash out at the woman? Do you think he'd make excuses or do you think he would try to reach out and help the woman? I keep hearing Christians say how horrible the world has become. But if people would read their bibles and zero in on the passages that say this they would realize. She's obviously hurt and i think she may even be put off by christians. I know i was for 30 years of my wasted life. I know because i've bern there. I was angry at christians because i watched a homeless man be turned away at the church doors. I was a little girl at the time. It broke my heart. Wouldn't that have broken the heart of God? It left a hurtful mark on my heart. A lot of how i have seen christians behave was hurtful I was even hurt by a Christian fellow who left a mark. It really hurt because he would explain or help me understand. My respressed memories came back and his name was Colin too. Not to worry Colin i know you arent him. But i would if i ever get the chance i would tell him what damage was done. I swore off from dating or marrying any Christian man. I still want to get married but i guess i cant marry a non Christian. He definitely has to be saved by grace.
