What happened when Taapsee Pannu opened up about sexism and her "middle-class" problems to a bunch of comedians? It was a laugh riot! 🤣 Thanks to East India Comedy for the footage! / @eastindiacomedy
@@shivangsrivastava4522 This sounds like the kind of nonsense you'll see in the community of conspiracy theorists that was born out of SSR's suicide ~oops~ masala murder mystery entertainment saga.
I was ready to see her get awkward & not be funny because actors aren't usually funny, especially if you sit them among comedians. But damn man she was funny AND she got her point across too regarding pay disparity 😂👏
Moral of the story is "Don't go and blame girls for not having good roles, if you're not ready to go and watch films where girls have good roles." Well said ✌️👏💝
@Hello Sir wow sir. As a "dude" I am not interested in watching films about "women empowerment". I think it is for you "Dudes" that we have to make such films. Secondly, when we as masses will start watching the films of female protagonists then only will we get some more films on generalised concepts with them.
@Hello Sir but wo supply dene ka incentive nhi h na. Vo koi generalised concept ki movie ka supply hi kyu de aisi dead audience ko jo pink ko uninteresting bolti h? Jb aapko kisi movie se kuchh take away nhi krna h toh vhi same brain dead wali same formatting ki action movies dekh lia kro. Would get the adrenaline rush, storyline mein kuchh aisa detailing hota nhi jo aapko jyada concentrate krna pde and relax hoke baitho, lights on, ghar jao. Aap agr issues ke baare mein baat krne ko taiyaar nhi ho, dekhne ko taiyaar nhi ho toh kya hi kr stein hn. Abhi ab jake kuchh breakthrough hua h iss industry mein women realted issues dikhane ka. Jisse many people relate. Dont go saying pink is "uninteresting". It raised issues that needed to be talked about. One whole gender felt the impact of this movie, and many from other too. The acting was spot on. What was even lacking? There are some really good movies out there that implore you to think. Art is SUPPOSED to make you uncomfortable. Pink was one such work of art. But vhi h, sbke perception and interpretation se art ka value decide hota h. Aapko uninteresting lga toh that says a lot about you.
I think it's just a funny stereotype. And no it's not something to be ashamed of. If you are happy with your life, nothing else should matter. Someone said more money, more problems.
😅I love the way she talks about real stuff. We know everyone has to deal with these things but celebs don't show it. It's kinda nice to hear out this version too.
Starkids : "Maine bohot struggle kiya hai." Dumb Audiences : Oh! Struggle hee struggle. Papa director hai, mummy actor hai, bohot saare connections hai. TOO MUCH STRUGGLE.
Love the way she acknowledged that she's getting paid less because of her movies getting in less money cause of less viewers instead of saying she's getting less just because she's a woman and she deserves the same pay. Instead she understands how movie revenues dictate the pay.
I think we all need to understand that When someone becomes a famous a Famous Bollywood actor , it just doesn't mean that he/she has to give up normal life and has to live an artificial lifestyle just to show us. It's their choice to live anyway they want. Who the hell are you or me to judge ?
True man I just don't understand why people put anyone on pedestal like I know they're are actors and It's their job to act. Just chill don't get in their face for every little thing. Give them their privacy. Everyone else should mind their own business.
Yeah exactly, these annoying so called 'comedians' were calling her middle-class and why? Because she got a call from nature's basket? What kind of bubble do they live in?
She is right. My friend's sister is an actress in a Tamil opera. Her role in the opera is extremely cringy. I asked my friend why his sister is accepting these kinds of roles. He said that she doesn't care because she's only interested in acting. Not what her role is. Its high time we replace the main villains of cinema industry, Directors and Producers by supported not new actors, but new directors.
Those comedians are anything but borderline cringe. Why do they keep poking her with "you're so middle class". I understand sarcasm in humor but they made it seem like celebrities shouldn't be regular people with regular problems. Tapsee was a pure sport with her classy comebacks. She slammed the three Stooges single handedly
Its not bad being a middle class , or when u came out of a middle class place ur thinking is same , it doesnt get change much, they are saying middle class like an insult 😐. But tapsee was so simple just like a normal indian 😁
One should never forget his/her roots, his way of living in past. Saying attachee and getting a call from nature's basket was not a big deal that those comedians were telling her again and again "you are a celebrity why do u have to do these things." Isn't a celebrity human being? Can't he or she go to market to buy vegetables? Is it that embarrassing? It's kinda annoying if these so called celebrities look down upon the middle class people who are their source of income. If we people stop buying tickets of their movies they wouldn't even progress. It doesn't matter how rich u become but u should be as humble and respectful as one can possibly be instead of looking down upon others which is nowadays very common.
They all took in good spirit. It's up to us how we perceive this conversation. There are different types of comedians, ignore the type you don't like. It's this Simple.
Only sensible thing that she said, paisa zyada milenge when you bring in that kinda money.. Women protagonists don't get that kinda attention in our nation..and I have no idea why?? Seriously?
@Introverted - Your most unwanted guy well I partially agree with that if u really want to talk about it, gunjan saxena is the best example of male bashing. But tapsee's movies don't serve that purpose so yes one should be an informed consumer. Just like "not all men are bad" like that "not all female protagonist movies centred towards women empowerment are bad". It's never justified to generalise based on personal bias
yes really sad ... and same was with tik tok too and but it is banned and these average low rank movies arent good enough.. how people just follow there a**es blindly i cant understand.
@The Croissant 🥐 for everything? Bhai desh ki GLORY mai itna bhi andhbhakt mat ho. Hummara desh koi top-class nahi hai. Sach bolo to anti-national, usse chupao, to deshbhakt. Waah re desh mera !
thats actualy really normal especially if both parents are working, a househelp is almost a necessity, having one wouldn't make someone less of middle class
First of all we have raised them to such a podium that we can't stand if they do normal work like us. Seeming so shocked like they don't do it 😂. What an irony! Is it not our money and the fame given by us only?
wow really respect her because first of all she's a middle class woman from delhi and the brand that she has made for herself is completely on her own, no nepotism bullshit. Also unlike some other bollywood celebrities she actually has a brain.
I don't understand why everybody is so triggered. I never felt like they were making fun of middle class people or their lifestyle. Guess what? Taapsee is NOT middle class and it is perfectly normal to be surprised at the fact that a Bollywood actress, who can very easily afford to hire someone for everything, worrying about things like ordering veggies. They were just harmlessly joking. People these days are always ready to be offended by stand-up comedians. What more to expect from a country where misogyny, rape jokes, body shaming, racism, men dressing up as women is considered as comedy while individuals speaking against those in power is considered anti-nationalism?
She is super cool, genuine and humble. Very understandable that she as similar house chores as other humans, but really amazed at comedians’ reaction. Come on dude, accept her the way she is, why recommending so many changes.
"I DoN't imAGIne oThEr CelEBRitiEs buYinG veGETablES..." Yeah sure, they don't eat. Celebrities are super humans who should not be allowed to live a humble life. And they're not supposed to eat anything else but canned salad. Periodt.... (I'm being sarcastic if anyone didn't get it)
As I see, she is Trying to live life as simply as possible. So let her be. Thanks. Being a celebrity does not mean you have to be arrogant. So 👏👏👏👏👏for her.
I love how she slammed the gender pay gap myth in the entertainment industry which feminists in the west (and India) scream about. *You get paid depending on how much revenue you can generate, doesnt matter if you are male or female*.. I am sure Tapsee, a female, earns more than a random new male actor. Female actressess have rarely been the draw for Indian move goers.
@@anvi3969 woah... watch out your language. I'm not your sweetie!!! Ever heard of Radhe... 😂😂😂 And btw, I am here to defend my POV. I won't watch any movie just because there's a female protagonist 😐
@@anvi3969 No, please I don't like these types of sarcasm. That's awful. Radhe made profit 😂😂😂 Tell me what's the profit margin??? It's a flop. *If people go to watch movies just because there's selmon Bhoi so people should go watch movies just because there's a female protagonist...* No way, I'm not going in either cases.
@@anvi3969 Now, I don't mind you call it sweetie, darling, jaanu whatever 🤣🤣🤣 Why are you being such a snowflake❄️❄️❄️? I just said that thing 3 times, still you're just going after selmon Bhoi. Can't you understand what I just said. I didn't say, *I won't watch any good movie if there's a female protagonist* or *I hate when there's a female protagonist* If the movie's good, I'll watch and no I won't ask why women don't get paid equal??? And I know you still will not understand my POV. btw "Darling" you didn't tell, what's the profit margin of selmon Bhoi's Radhe...
@@anvi3969 what's wrong with that jesus christ 😂😂😂 See the video again, she said "if a hero does anything, he will get a minimum of 15 crores opening" which is absolutely correct for some actors she says "So how do you expect us to get more money? Because if the film doesn't collect that much for a female protagonist film, then we'll never get paid that much" So what do you want, equal treatment as of selmon Bhoi's movie. She never compared good movies having female protagonist with those so called star's movies. She compared movies having female protagonist in general. C'mon can't you watch the video carefully? Pinhead "Jesus Christ" I'm still waiting for Radhe's profit margin 🤣🤣🤣
She always makes sense and was being totally logical. But people still pick some words she said and make it a big deal. Some People in this country are always butthurt about everything!
That last line is so true... That's how the economy works.. You just can't ask for equal pay in some sectors.. especially in entertainment and sports because it all depends on the spectators. There is huge debate about why Women's cricket is not famous... or Why women cricketers are not earning equal to their counterparts.. Because we as a collective don't opt for it. It is all about the commercialization of sports and also entertainment industry to isi pe chal rahi hai.
taapsee is the biggest star with a very rare persona. i feel these comedians dont even deserve to be in the press. she has more talent, connections, experience, beauty than any other star. she deserves more respect. i hope she charged them for wasting her time and having to sit with these idiots.
I had a free second-row seat to the show. Enjoyed the full thing! I was especially smitten by Taapsee's beauty - pictures and videos don't do her justice.
Lol never saw it that way but fair point well made: " Don't go and blame girls for not having good roles, if you're not ready to go and watch films where girls have good roles." It's us who need to change that.
